00:00All right, meanwhile, the rookie of the year in the National Football League is an open
00:08and shut case.
00:09If anybody was voting on Monday night, because Jaden Daniels would win that thing, we still
00:13have a long way to go as people who watch the show for the entire season.
00:17You know that I've been on Washington, I've been on Daniels, and I'm happy to see that
00:21this is the case, but I'm also not foolish.
00:24A lot can happen between now and the end of the season.
00:26What I would say, George, is if I had an opinion of what I've seen through three games,
00:31is that I think Daniels is way better than all the other quarterbacks.
00:36I think he is way, way better than these guys.
00:40And the reason why I say that is because of the same thing that we talked about last week.
00:45Variance is funny in sports, baseball, basketball, you got to look at advanced analytics data.
00:50But you know, the thing that pointed out to me, and it's the reason kind of why I like
00:52Jacksonville, George, too.
00:55I think not scoring in the red zone involves luck, and some bad luck.
01:00I mean, generally speaking, you're going to score as often as you don't, and you probably
01:04should score a lot more.
01:05I mean, Washington against the Giants went into the red zone six times and scored no
01:08touchdowns.
01:09And, you know, guys drop the ball, fumbles, it's what's been going on with the Jaguars
01:15all season long.
01:16Well, it was going on with Washington, and now it is not.
01:21So I just don't think it's an overreaction.
01:23If I had to guess right now, I think Daniels provides a lot of value.
01:28I also, as we're looking at the board here, George, I do want to mention, you would be
01:32crazy not to sprinkle something on Malik Neighbors.
01:34I mean, this guy is just, I mean, you and me should be throwing with this guy.
01:38He's going to get 10 catches at 100 yards every week.
01:40So for me, I like Daniels, I like Neighbors.
01:44Those are my two thus far, and, you know, Caleb Williams is still going to be very much
01:49up there in the end, I think, but I haven't seen enough of him to really put him in my
01:53list.
01:54Well, we know it's probably going to be a quarterback.
01:59That's just the way these awards generally work here.
02:01All right.
02:02So, and Daniels looked great.
02:03Right now, I think he's your leader by far, although Caleb Williams had a good game last
02:08week.
02:09Is this the start of things for Caleb?
02:10Right?
02:11Is he now going to go on that kind of run here?
02:12Okay.
02:13He's more confident.
02:14He's going to start throwing the ball up and down all over the field here.
02:17Keenan Allen, by the way, also should be back to Chicago this week.
02:20That will help.
02:21Or could be back.
02:22I shouldn't say should.
02:23Could be back this week.
02:24That will help them.
02:25All right.
02:26He found Cole Komett.
02:27Right?
02:28It's always nice to have that tight end, big target, close to the line of scrimmage over
02:30the middle that you could find there.
02:31So good for him there.
02:32A running game would be nice.
02:33I think Daniels is your favorite right now.
02:36Looking at the Washington schedule here, I mean, he's going to have another big game
02:39this week.
02:40I think Daniels.
02:41So that's going to be nice here.
02:42Cleveland, Baltimore, a little tough.
02:43But then the schedule is fine.
02:44When you look at it, it's fine.
02:45It's not like, oh, that guy is playing every tough defense in the league.
02:49I think Daniels is the guy right now.
02:50I mean, there was some argument at draft time.
02:52Remember, there were teams, not just Washington, but there were teams that thought that Daniels
02:56was the number one pick over Williams.
02:57All right.
02:58So it wasn't like he was the clear-cut number two.
03:01No, some teams had him as the number one here.
03:03So I think he is your guy there.
03:04Would I sprinkle on neighbors?
03:06Sure.
03:07Let's not forget Marvin Harrison as well, who's come along big time here.
03:11And he could have a monster game this week with Noah McBride there.
03:13All right.
03:15So that's somebody also you might want to think about.
03:16But to me, this always comes down to the quarterback.
03:19Quarterback's going to touch the ball every play.
03:21Every play.
03:22As long as Daniels doesn't get hurt, you know, and do something, you know, something like
03:25that.
03:26I'll say it can be said for Williams, by the way, as long as they don't get hurt, they
03:29stay healthy.
03:30I expect one of those two to win it.
03:31And right now, I think it's Daniels.
03:34Yeah.
03:35I think right now, Daniels is the guy.
03:36Some really interesting movement in the Rookie of the Year odds, too.
03:38I mean, if you look back to where the odds opened, where they are now, I think that's
03:44just, you know, sort of incredible to think that Caleb Williams could be so far ahead
03:47of everybody else.
03:49And then, you know, after week two, that certainly changed.
03:52And then, you know, you see, you know, Harrison up there.
03:54But look, the bottom line is Daniels, you know, he's the guy right now and neighbors
03:58to me is the next one.
03:59So appropriately priced, to say the least.
