With less and less people joining the teaching profession, we ask the people of Cardiff whether they think with more breaks, more people would be inclined to become a teacher.

00:00I think today, I mean, especially, for example, I think over the age of 10,
00:07I think it's very difficult to be a teacher,
00:09as children are so mature these days that they get to 10, 11, 12
00:14and they think they're already 18 and they misbehave at school a great deal.
00:19I have some friends who are teachers and they say it's almost not worth going to work.
00:23Yeah, I believe they deserve it.
00:26They work so, so much and they don't have that much of a break
00:31and they don't get paid that well.
00:33How much it's not hurting the students' interaction with the teachers,
00:38that should be kept in mind.
00:40I think they're overworked.
00:42I think especially how the children have been since the pandemic
00:47because it was a real crisis for them, you know, having to work from home,
00:51not having friendships, being friends, going out with their friends.
00:56I think the teachers earn every cent they get.
