00:00So over here, I am logged in in my ChatGPT account right here. But let's say for privacy
00:10reasons you want to go ahead and delete your ChatGPT account entirely. So let's say you
00:16really want to clear it out. In that case, you need to go around onto your profile right
00:20here and then go to settings. So once you go around over here, you can go around onto
00:26data controls right here and you can see that delete account is an option. So if I were
00:31to go around and click on delete right here, then you can simply go around and delete out
00:36your account. But it is not sure that you have done it this accidentally. So it says
00:41that you have to refresh your login right here. So if I were to go around and click
00:46on refresh login just like this, then what happens is that it logs you out of the account
00:52first right here. So you got to wait a bit right here and then log in again just like
00:57this. So let me just go ahead and log in as you can see right here. Let me just go around
01:02and sign in with my Google account itself just like this. And now let me try to delete
01:07it again. So I'm going to go around over here onto settings and then onto data controls
01:12and delete account right here. And it says please type in your email address. So I need
01:17to type in my email address right here and it says to proceed type delete in the input
01:22field below. So let me just go around and type in delete right here in all caps just
01:28like this and click on permanently delete my account right here. It says log in to delete
01:33account again right here just like this. So it says your login session is too old. Please
01:38log in before deleting the account. So you need to go around and try again. So let's
01:42just go around and log out right here just like this. And then let me just go around
01:47and refresh it out right here. So you can see that it really makes sure that you're
01:51not doing this by accident right here. So let me just go around and sign in right here
01:57just like this. Go around onto settings right here onto data control delete right here.
02:03Let me just go around and type in my email address right here and type in delete right
02:08here. Click on permanently delete my account just like this. And then what happens is that
02:14it logs out right here just like this. So now my account is permanently deleted meaning
02:19if I were to go around and click on log in right here and then go to continue with Google
02:25just like this then what happens is that it says you do not have an account because it
02:30has been deleted or deactivated. And if you believe that this was an error please contact
02:35us through our help center at help.openai.com. So you can recover but it's actually deleted
02:42as you can see right here. And that is how you can go ahead and delete out your chat
