00:57upon arrival, the CDS visited the headquarters, 4th Brigade Nigerian Army, Benin City to ascertain
01:05troops' level of preparedness in support of the Nigeria Police for the conduct of the off-cycle
01:10gubernatorial election in Edo state scheduled for the 21st of September 2024. General Musa
01:18is also scheduled to meet with relevant stakeholders as to seek effective collaboration
01:23in making the election rancor-free. Nigerian Air Force has said that it has today, the 18th of
01:30September 2024, commenced the airlift of electoral materials for the Independent National Electoral
01:37Commission, INEC, in preparation for the Edo state governorship election 2024. This follows the earlier
01:44commitment made by the Chief of the Air Staff, CAS Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, during a
01:51recent meeting with INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, when the cast had reiterated NAFES
01:57readiness to provide INEC with transport aircraft to facilitate the swift movement of election
02:03materials, as has been done in the past. This airlift demonstrates the NAFES commitment to
02:10fulfilling its constitutional role of providing military air to civil authority,
