Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad visits Hotel-Dieu hospital in Beirut after hundreds of paging devices used by militant group Hezbollah's members exploded in a deadly wave across Lebanon. The influx of so many casualties all at once overwhelmed hospitals in Hezbollah strongholds. The group vows to punish Israel, while Israel has made no immediate comment on the incident.

00:00The hospitals played a very important role yesterday, and many of them, like the hospital
00:24here, cancelled their operations today in order to be able to continue with the care
00:28that they are giving to the patients.

00:44What happened, unfortunately, as everyone knows, is that we received injuries from a
00:48device explosion in the hands of people.
00:51The injuries were mainly in the eyes and hands.
00:55I mean, fingers were cut off and the eyes were shot, and people lost their sight.
01:04We received 80 injuries.
01:0620 of them were taken to the ICU immediately with a tube and artificial respiration,
01:14so that we can make sure that they won't be suffocated from the back of the back of their
01:17faces.
01:18The rest are being operated on one after the other today.
01:22We have 55 operations in total.
01:26It's a huge problem.
