00:00The three-day free ride of the MRT-3 and MRT-2 for government employees is now in full swing.

00:07This is in line with the celebration of the anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.

00:12Let's take a look at Isaiah Miracuentes.

00:16Every time Michael enters the office, working for the Bureau of Internal Revenue,

00:22he is already able to ride the MRT.

00:25From North Avenue Station to Magallanes, he rides the MRT.

00:30Every day, for one trip, he pays Php 28 for his massage.

00:35It is still a big help for the income of government employees like me.

00:41Because of the free ride starting today, he will be able to save Php 56.

00:48And because it is a three-day ride, Michael will be able to save Php 168.

00:54Starting today until Friday, September 20, the MRT-3 and MRT-2 will have a free ride.

01:01This is in line with the celebration of the anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.

01:07In the MRT-3, government employees will have a free ride for the whole day.

01:12To give more importance to their service, being in the public service.

01:20According to GM Bongon, they have been doing this for years.

01:24And last year, more than Php 10,000 were able to get a free ride.

01:30It is expected that this will be more this year.

01:33Because government employees will have a free ride for the whole day compared to last year.

01:40I think this is good because it will help.

01:43And it shows that the people working for the government really appreciate it.

01:48Every day, more than Php 420,000 passengers ride the MRT-3.

01:55While in the MRT-2, there is a free ride.

01:59Starting today until Friday at the same time.

02:03It started at 7 in the morning until 9 in the morning.

02:07And will return again from 5 in the afternoon until 7 in the evening.

02:13The reason for that is most of the government employees are from 7 to 9, right?

02:18So that is our free ride. And it will return.

02:22Earlier this morning in the MRT-2, up to Php 1,700 were able to avail the free ride.

02:29Just a reminder that the government ID must be presented in order to avail the free ride.

02:36The third day of free ride for government employees is surely a big expense.
