00:18You know, good news for our government employees who ride trains.

00:23Because from today, the MRT-3 and LRT-2 will have a free ride.

00:29This is a celebration of the anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.

00:36Every time Michael enters the office of the Bureau of Internal Revenue,

00:41he is already used to riding the MRT.

00:44From North Avenue to Magallanes, he rides it.

00:48Every day, for one trip, he spends P18.

00:53It's still a big help to the income of government employees.

00:59Because of the free ride, from today, he can save P56.00.

01:06And because it's three days, he can save P168.00.

01:12Because from today until Friday, September 20, the MRT-3 and LRT-2 will have a free ride.

01:18In the MRT-3, government employees can ride for free for the whole day.

01:24Of course, for us to give more importance to their service, being in the public service.

01:32According to GM Bongon, they do this every year.

01:36And last year, more than P10,000 were able to get a free ride.

01:42It is expected that this year, more people will be able to ride the MRT-3.

01:45Because government employees are free to ride the MRT-3 for the whole day, compared to last year.

01:59Every day, more than 420,000 passengers ride the MRT-3.

02:07While in the LRT-2, there is a free ride.

02:11It starts today until Friday at around 5 p.m.

02:15It will start at 7 a.m. until 9 a.m.

02:20And it will return at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

02:28Noel, I am now here at MRT North Avenue Station,

02:32where there are more and more passengers.

02:35And more and more government employees are availing free rides.

02:40And if you are a government employee, you just need to go to their ticket booth here.

02:46You just need to present your ID proving that you are a government employee.

02:50And when you get there, you will be listed on the list.

02:54You just need to put your name and some details.

02:56And they will give you a magnetic card.

02:59And that is what you will leave at the station where you will get off.
