Rangers top prospect Kumar Rocker made his MLB debut last week and was electrifying. He joined the GBag Nation to talk about his debut, how he's able to get such great movement while throwing as hard as he does, what it's been like reuniting with college teammate Jack Leiter at the Major League level, and more!

00:00Congrats on your debut last week.
00:17How did it go from your perspective?
00:18Um, it went well.
00:19There's some pitches I wish I could have back a little bit more efficient with them accounts,
00:23but overall I like what I saw.
00:25You looked very comfortable out there for, you know, your first go around in the show.
00:30How did it feel for you?
00:31Um, it felt good.
00:32It was, it was intense.
00:33I look back at the film and I don't remember a lot of pitches that I threw.
00:36So I just told you where I was at.
00:39Gotcha.
00:40Gotcha.
00:41So what, what's different about trying to get big league hitters out?
00:43Um, just understanding the counts and understand when it's time to challenge, challenge them
00:48and when to not to, and, uh, understand that they're going to put the ball in play too.
00:52It was so much fun to watch you and the movement that you're able to get while throwing a super
00:57hard.
00:58I mean, what about that breaking ball?
00:59Can you give us the history of your breaking ball?
01:01If you wouldn't mind, where'd you learn it?
01:03Did somebody help you with that?
01:04Um, I learned it when I was younger, I had a guy named Matt White, he's, he was my agent
01:10for still my agent and uh, we just worked on it as I was in high school.
01:13I tried to throw it like a fastball and over time it developed into something that I had
01:18pretty good feel for.
01:19And then since then, since high school, going through college, I just had a feel for it
01:23and I trusted it.
01:24So it's a good pitch.
