The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday evening, Sept. 16 said Tropical Depression “Gener” has maintained its strength while continuing to traverse the coast of Palanan, Isabela, and is expected to make landfall in either Isabela or Aurora within a few hours.

00:00As of 10 in the evening, Tropical Depression Hiner is in the coastal waters of Palanan, Isabela.
00:08It's almost near our land, Northern Luzon.
00:11The wind is still 55 km per hour, close to its center.
00:15And there's gustiness up to 70 km per hour.
00:19It moves quickly, to the left or right, at a speed of 25 km per hour.
00:24It is also expected that Tropical Depression Hiner will reach Northern Luzon overnight,
00:28and will emerge here in the West Philippine Sea tomorrow morning.
00:32Strong winds and rains will be seen here in the western side of our country
00:37due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
00:40Heavy to intense rains are also expected within the next 24 hours
00:45in a large part of Northern and Central Luzon.
00:48We also have an update regarding other weather systems and disturbances

00:56Based on the latest forecast,
00:58it is expected that Tropical Depression Hiner will landfall in the area of Isabela,
01:04and it is expected that it will pass through Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region,
01:09until it emerges tomorrow morning here in Ilocos Region and the West Philippine Sea.
