00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays and today we're looking at 10 hidden secrets that are
00:11scattered across the newest PlayStation 5 exclusive, Astro Bot.
00:21Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to
00:26Mojo Plays and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:31The Playroom Advantage. In case you missed it, Astro's Playroom saw a few minor
00:44updates in the months leading up to Astro Bot's launch. These updates added
00:48in special bots for you to search and rescue, one for each of the four worlds.
00:57Freeing these bots from their capsules would earn you some new trophies for
01:03your PlayStation profile, but they also have a special function for Astro Bot as
01:08well. Rescue all four and you will be able to start off Astro's new adventure
01:12with four bots available at the start, which will help boost your progress more
01:17than it may seem. Puzzling Predicaments.
01:31In Astro's Playroom, collecting every puzzle piece would eventually lead to
01:36the completion of a giant mural commemorating all of PlayStation's first
01:4025 years. In Astro Bot, puzzle pieces have a bit more functional use to
01:45further enhance your adventure. You will have four murals to complete in
01:49sequential order, and upon completing the murals, you will activate different
01:58facilities like the Dual Speeder Garage and the Gotcha Capsule Machine. There's
02:03more to discover, but we won't spoil any more of that stuff here. That said, make
02:08sure you're trying to collect every last puzzle piece. It is worth it in the end.
02:15Crash Site of Secrets. If you want to see every little thing that Astro Bot
02:30has to offer, it is imperative that you fully explore every level to rescue
02:35every single bot. These adorable little guys will help you navigate the crash
02:38site to uncover more galaxies. However, rescuing a certain number can help in
02:44uncovering even more secrets.
02:56Around the various corners of the crash site, you will come across bots asking
03:00for you to recruit a certain number of characters. Fulfilling these requirements
03:04will often lead you to finding more bots, thus adding to your total. So again, make
03:10sure you're trying to collect everything as you go. It will make your
03:13life a lot easier. Best Bird Friend.
03:29Missed a puzzle piece or a lost bot on your first playthrough of a level? No
03:34worries! Team Asobi has put in a special mechanic to help you out. When revisiting
03:39a level, you will have the option of spending 200 coins to free a robot bird
03:44that will signal the location of a secret when you're near one. Although,
03:48this bird comes in handy if you chose to go through a secret goal instead of the
03:52regular one. Regardless if you actually finished the level containing the warp,
04:02you will still be given the option of paying to have this bird help you. In
04:06other words, prioritize finding those warps so that you can make the rest of
04:10the normal level easier later on.
04:19Hidden Photo Ops.
04:31Puzzle pieces and bots are the two collectibles you'll have to worry about
04:35through Astro's Adventure, but there is another secret sort of collectible to
04:39find. Some levels will have special photo ops where Astro can stick his face onto
04:44a board to create a funny little scene.
04:53Again, only some levels will have these photo ops, and finding them all doesn't
04:58add to your completion or unlock anything except for some special
05:01environmental interactions and some additional coins. Still, it's worth being
05:06on the lookout for them.
05:13Bot Smacker. Those who played Astro's Playroom will remember that there was
05:25something special to smacking bots around, specifically the ones dressed as
05:29various video game characters. You'd often get to see more references to the
05:33games the bots are living out, and this fun little feature returns in Astro Bot.
05:44Among the regular bots to rescue are VIP bots, characters dressed as various video
05:50game characters from both PlayStation and other companies, but most of them
05:54come with a catch to fully appreciate their inclusion. You may have to spend
05:58some ducats at the gacha machine to unlock special props for the various bots.
06:03Only then can you smack them and trigger special interactions. Of the ones we've
06:07seen, Kratos and the Prince have the best ones.
06:17Sacred Cheese. PlayStation's sacred symbols make an expected appearance in
06:28Astro Bot in various ways. The most obvious appearances are when viewing the
06:32overworld, but there's one specific appearance we found truly amusing. In
06:36Downsized Surprise, you'll come across a bedroom with a bot sleeping in a bed. Go
06:41under the bed to find a few mice enjoying some cheese, and each piece of
06:45cheese being the shape of the sacred symbols. Honestly, we're sure you'll be
06:56able to spot other collections of squares, circles, triangles, and crosses.
06:59This one, though, might be missable if you aren't fully looking through every
07:04nook and cranny.
07:10Bot of War.
07:18Look, we realize the name of the level really is Bot of War, but we don't want
07:22to put too much focus on the level itself. While it is really funny running
07:27around as this chibi little Kratos, we want to recognize this level for one
07:32hilarious little detail. Odin's annoying ravens make their unfortunate return, and
07:38there are eight of them for you to destroy here.
07:45Granted, they are much easier to find than they were in God of War 2018 and
07:50Ragnarok, and to tell the truth, finding them all doesn't get you anything
07:53substantial like a costume or a special cutscene. You will, on the other hand, get
07:59a shiny new PSN trophy.
08:06Overworld Shenanigans. As we hinted at a couple entries ago, there are little
08:17secrets to find when traversing the overworld maps of each galaxy. If you see
08:21a cluster of sacred symbols or some stray asteroids floating around, make
08:26sure you crash into them. Doing so will most likely lead to uncovering more
08:31levels and sometimes even puzzle pieces.
08:40But if you're going for a full 100% completion, you should absolutely take
08:45some time between levels to wander around the map and see what you can find.
08:49Even if it leads to nothing, it's better to leave no stone unturned than to wonder
08:53if you're just insane from past platform recollect-a-thons. I've
08:58certainly been down that road one time too many.
09:07Lost and Found.
09:16Remember earlier when we mentioned birds and finding secret goals? Well, those secret
09:21goals lead to a sixth world that will become crucial to fully completing
09:25Astro Bot. The Lost Galaxy features a variety of levels with unique mechanics
09:30to challenge your platforming and exploration skills. As expected, not every
09:35warp will be in a super obvious place.
09:40Some might require some backtracking, some might require certain events to
09:47happen before they become accessible, like a boss fight before the main goal,
09:51but either way, don't feel bad if you have to replay or restart a level to
09:55find that warp.

10:07the game? Let us know down in the comments, and don't forget to subscribe
