00:00The Drawing of Lots of the 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championships was a success

00:07where the Philippines could face some of the world champions in the Pool A of the tournament.

00:13This is the story of Bernadette Pinoy.

00:17After the historic Drawing of Lots for the FIVB Men's World Championships that will be held in September 2025,

00:25the Philippine fans will be able to watch the expected back-to-back of the 32 nations

00:30because it will be held in the country itself, in the tournament.

00:33The Philippines will be included in the Pool A along with Iran, Egypt, and Tunisia.

00:40The main thing about this world championship is to improve our world ranking.

00:44Of course, definitely, we will be in the top 32 already in the world,

00:49but I think it's what the Philippines can give and the experience that we will get in this world championship.

00:57For Alastarm and Elo Badin, even though the nations will face each other in the world championships,

01:03it will not be a hurdle for the national team to win the tournament

01:08and the Philippines are good at the so-called sports.

01:11They don't expect anything from us. They expect that we will lose.

01:14So, what we will try, during the game, we will show them that the Philippines Men's Volleyball Team can do something for us.

01:25As a co-chairperson of the local organizing committee,

01:29Senator Alan Peter Cayetano is positive that the tournament will be a success,

01:33but he also admits that there are some difficulties that the committee can face, especially in terms of the funds.

01:39Wherever you look, it's a win-win for us.

01:42But it's not easy raising the resources and then training the people.

01:48The other jobs here are not regular jobs, right?

01:52That's why there are a lot of volunteers here.

01:54So, it's a challenge.

01:57For the first time, the Philippines got the solo hosting of the FIVB Men's World Championships

02:04that is expected to take place in September 2025.
