00:00There's a future to this storm, too, into places like Jackson, Mississippi.
00:03So we can head to the capital city of Mississippi, where we're expecting some very heavy rain late
00:10tonight into tomorrow. Emmy, I know it hasn't been too wild so far at least.
00:17Yeah, Jeff, as a whole, things have been pretty calm, but we are seeing some signs that the worst
00:22is yet to come. I'll tell you this. We had a break in the rain for about an hour and a half here in
00:27Jackson, but now we are starting to see that it is raining again. So far, it is light, but we do
00:32know that it is going to get heavier as the night goes on. The same goes for the wind. We've been
00:38noticing that the wind has been increasing in intensity over the last few hours. Just take a
00:43look here at the video that we have. We saw these flags just blowing around here at the Mississippi
00:49State Capitol. They haven't been still since we've arrived. With wind and rain being the
00:55main threats from this storm, flooding is something on a lot of people's minds. Earlier
01:00today, we were at a sandbag distribution site where we saw hundreds of people filling up sandbags.
01:05We also know that police officers have gone around the city barricading off roads that are prone to
01:11flooding. Lastly, there are also power crews that are staging throughout the city prepared to turn
01:18on power to those who may be left in the dark, say, about 12 hours from now. So, Jeff, preparations are
01:24underway for the worst of the storm, which we know will occur throughout the late evening as
01:29well as the early morning here in the Jackson area. Back to you. All right. Thank you so much
01:34for that report there. Emmy Victor in Jackson, Mississippi. Jackson is going to be facing some
01:39very heavy rain through the day tomorrow. Thanks for that report there, Emmy.
