00:05Do Next Week.
00:06First up, in central Lancashire, an outdoor family festival of theatre at Preston's
00:12Avonam and Miller Park continues on Saturday, August 31st with two performances of Alice
00:18in Wonderland by The Storytellers Theatre Company. Bring a seat, blanket and picnic
00:23and enjoy this outdoor theatre performance that will continue where the rain will shine.
00:28The performance takes place on the green opposite the Circular Fountain in Avonam and Miller
00:32Park, and there is a 12pm showing and a 2.30pm showing. Tickets are priced from £8 individually,
00:39£20 for a family of three, or £25 for a family of four.
00:43Over on the Fard Coast, it is the Blackpool Illumination Switch-On on Friday, August 30th.
00:50Staged in association with Hits Radio, the celebration will be held on the Tower Festival
00:55headland and Spice Girl Mel B will be doing the honours of switching on the iconic illuminations.
01:01The night will also see performances from Ella Henderson, Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt,
01:06the Upbeat Rock Academy and Rockstar Weekend. Once again, the event is freely accessible
01:11to the public, with no tickets required.
01:16Up in Lancaster, 80s Live is on at the Lancaster Grand Theatre on Saturday, August 30th. Described
01:23as the biggest 80s party show to tour the UK, attendees will get to travel back in
01:27time to one of the most iconic areas of music for the night out you have been dreaming of.
01:32The live band Electrical Dreams will perform over two dozen chart-topping anthems from
01:3780s legends such as Wham!, Culture Club, Madonna, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears and more.
01:43Attendees are also encouraged to dress to impress. Tickets are still available and cost
01:48£28.
01:49Over in Burnley, on Friday, August 30th there will be a Circus Skills Workshop for all the
01:55family in the undercover area of Charter Walk in front of Superdrug. Attendees can step
02:01into the mesmerising world of circus arts and embrace the joy of learning from skilled
02:05professionals who will reveal the well-guarded secrets and captivating tricks of the trade.
02:11From the young to the young at heart, everyone is invited to join in the merriment. Organised
02:16by Burnley Bid, activities take place from 11am to 3pm and are free for all.
02:22Finally, just outside of Lancashire, Poms in the Park returns to Wiggins Mezzanine Park
02:27on Saturday, August 31st. Featuring music from Tillsley Brass Band, classical music
02:33fans are invited to bring their own picnics, chairs and blankets to enjoy feel-good favourites
02:38including modern songs of a twist with friends and family. The event starts at 7.45pm with
02:44gates opening at 6.00pm and finishes at 10.00pm. Adult tickets are £12.50, 5-15 year old tickets
02:51are £9.50 and children under 5 go free. There are also group tickets and VIP tickets available.
