00:00This is the Book, in which there is no doubt, a guidance for the righteous.
00:16I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan.
00:30In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
00:50And spend in the way of Allah, and cast not your hands into destruction.
01:19And spend in the way of Allah, and cast not your hands into destruction.
01:50And do good. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
02:13And spend in the way of Allah, and cast not your hands into destruction.
02:43And do good. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
03:13And spend in the way of Allah, and cast not your hands into destruction.
03:38And do good. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
03:55And do good. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
04:20Allah says in the Holy Qur'an,
04:29We praise Him, and we beseech help from Him, and we send peace and blessings upon His Messenger.
04:32After this, I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
04:34In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
04:37Respected listeners, peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
04:40We are here with the programme of Dars-e-Quran.
04:45In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
05:15Allah says in the Holy Qur'an,
05:17And spend in the way of Allah, and cast not your hands into destruction.
05:28In the general meaning of spending in the way of Allah,
05:32everything is included in it,
05:35that in whichever place Allah has instructed us to spend,
05:41we should spend in those places.
05:43A person should pay his Zakat,
05:45his Sadqat-e-Wajibah,
05:47his Nafilah,
05:49and he should spend on his family,
05:52and he should spend on his close relatives.
05:56The Holy Qur'an says,
05:58And spend in the way of Allah, and cast not your hands into destruction.
06:00And those who are in need in the society,
06:02or wherever there is a need,
06:04and a person has the ability to help there,
06:08he should spend his wealth in all those places.
06:12In this Holy Qur'an,
06:14the two things are mentioned together,
06:17that spend in the way of Allah,
06:19and do not cast yourself into destruction.
06:21The commentators say about this,
06:24Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari used to say,
06:27that this verse of Surah Baqarah,
06:29Ayat 195,
06:31was revealed to us about the people of Madinah.
06:34And the reason for this was,
06:36that when Allah gave power to Islam,
06:41and the situation improved,
06:44at that time the people of Madinah thought,
06:47that we have obviously sacrificed everything for the sake of Islam,
06:53we have sacrificed our wealth,
06:56we have lost our lives,
06:58and we have done everything we could.
07:02Now that the situation has improved,
07:04we will stop spending in the way of Islam,
07:09and we will save some of our wealth,
07:12or we will make some of our own.
07:14Because now there are a lot of helpers of the religion,
07:16there are a lot of donors,
07:18so the work will continue.
07:20We will also save some of our own.
07:22At that time, Allah revealed this verse of Surah Baqarah.
07:26That is, this thought,
07:28that we should stop spending our wealth,
07:32and get busy with our world,
07:35this thought could have arisen,
07:38or people could have followed this thought,
07:41that no, I will not spend for the sake of religion,
07:44I will spend for the sake of my affairs.
07:47Allah gave the commandment,
07:49that you should not stop spending in the way of Allah.
07:52First of all, keep spending,
07:54and secondly, do not put yourself in ruin.
07:56What you are thinking,
07:58that by giving wealth,
08:00I might be losing my life,
08:03Allah has stated the exact opposite philosophy.
08:07He said, no,
08:09what you will stop giving to the religion,
08:12and what you will stop your wealth,
08:15obviously that wealth will be spent in Jihad,
08:18in defence,
08:20for the sake of Islam,
08:22so by stopping that wealth,
08:24you will put yourself in ruin.
08:26Stopping that wealth,
08:28is your ruin.
08:30Do not stop this chain,
08:32that you have spent your wealth for the sake of religion,
08:35out of all your wealth,
08:38keep one part for the sake of this religion.
08:42Hazrat Abu Ayub Ansari says,
08:45Then it was understood,
08:47that this cannot be removed,
08:50that we dedicate our entire life,
08:53for the sake of the world,
08:55so that our attention is diverted from Jihad,
08:58so that our wealth is not spent for the sake of religion,
09:01and it is dedicated for the sake of our entire life,
09:04this is what the Quran has declared as ruin,
09:07and has said,
09:09that do not put yourself in ruin.
09:11And from this, it was understood,
09:13that to do Jihad,
09:15for some people,
09:17would be considered as ruin,
09:19but Surah Baqarah,
09:21verse 195,
09:23states that not to do Jihad,
09:25is the ruin of a person.
09:27When a Muslim person,
09:29deviates from a great worship like Jihad,
09:33becomes cowardly,
09:35does not think of devoting his life,
09:38nor does he think of devoting his wealth,
09:41whether it is Jihad with hair,
09:43or Jihad with the soul,
09:45then whenever a person deviates from Jihad,
09:49he puts himself in ruin.
09:51Even today, Muslims,
09:53what do they lack?
09:55Do Muslims lack wealth?
09:57The companions of the Prophet,
09:59had more problems than this.
10:01They did not have so much wealth,
10:03that today,
10:05they have the clothes of Zark-Bark,
10:07all kinds of food,
10:09and all kinds of luxuries.
10:11This was not their concept before,
10:13but despite this,
10:15they have never
10:17distanced themselves from Jihad.
10:19So, today,
10:21all kinds of luxuries are available.
10:23So, despite these luxuries,
10:25it is not so easy,
10:27for a person,
10:29to distance himself from a great worship,
10:31like Jihad,
10:33or to not prepare himself for it.
10:35And because of this,
10:37the enemy prevails over the Muslims.
10:39And even today,
10:41it is the same situation,
10:43that when Muslims have distanced themselves
10:45from Jihad,
10:47when they had their strength,
10:49their power,
10:51which they had to spend
10:53for the advancement of Islam,
10:55when they got busy in their luxuries,
10:57then you can see,
10:59that cowardice was born.
11:01And this is that cowardice,
11:03which the Prophet of Allah,
11:05in the coming times,
11:07had declared as the greatest weakness
11:09of the Muslims.
11:11So, this Ayat-e-Karima,
11:13is going to explain this
11:15very well,
11:17that spend in the way of Allah,
11:19and do not put yourself in ruin,
11:21i.e. do not distance yourself
11:23from Jihad.
11:25And this too,
11:27I have been mentioning in the previous Ayat,
11:29here too,
11:31since the command of spending has come,
11:33let me make it clear to you,
11:35that to spend in the way of Allah,
11:37although there are many ways of spending,
11:39but when the Holy Quran
11:41talks about spending in the way of Allah,
11:43then the first and the biggest
11:45way of spending,
11:47is Jihad,
11:49in the way of Allah.
11:51And the Companions,
11:53may Allah be pleased with them all,
11:55are the practical explanation of this.
11:57So, this was one aspect,
11:59which I have put before you.
12:01Now, if we want to explain
12:03this part,
12:05that do not put yourself in ruin,
12:07if we want to explain this
12:09in front of us,
12:11that what is the meaning of this,
12:13what is meant by this,
12:15that how not to put yourself in ruin.
12:17So, one thing,
12:19which we have mentioned earlier,
12:21that do not distance yourself
12:23from Jihad,
12:25do not distance yourself
12:27from spending in Jihad,
12:29otherwise,
12:31you will fall into ruin.
12:33So, this was the explanation of this.
12:35The second thing,
12:37which is the summary of the words
12:39of the Mufassereen,
12:41is that a person should not put himself
12:43into suicide,
12:45that I will commit suicide,
12:47I will kill myself,
12:49this is what the Quran has forbidden.
12:51The Holy Prophet, peace be upon him,
12:53himself declared suicide as Haram,
12:55that the person who commits suicide
12:57will commit suicide
12:59in the same way
13:01as he has committed suicide
13:03in the world.
13:05If he has a knife around his neck,
13:07then on the Day of Judgment
13:09he will be punished
13:11in the same way.
13:13So, the second meaning of this is
13:15that do not commit suicide.
13:19The third meaning of this is
13:21that anything
13:23that is not free of danger,
13:25and if a person
13:27goes there,
13:29he will put himself into ruin.
13:31A journey where
13:33life is in danger,
13:35in which a person
13:37has gone and is ruined,
13:39by going in that journey
13:41or by going to such a place,
13:43this verse forbids
13:45not to put yourself into ruin.
13:47Anything that can harm a person,
13:49his health, his life,
13:51avoiding all these things
13:53is included in this verse.
13:55Similarly, the commentators have also said
13:57that to remain firm on sins
13:59and to think whether
14:01my repentance will be accepted or not,
14:03I cannot remain firm on repentance.
14:05By doing this, a person should remain
14:07stuck in sins.
14:09This has also been forbidden here,
14:11that do not put yourself into ruin.
14:13That is, do not stay in sins,
14:15but come towards goodness,
14:17towards repentance.
14:19And the last meaning
14:21وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِعَيْدِكُمْ إِلَىٰ تَّهْلُكَا۟
14:23That the things
14:25that Allah has made obligatory on you,
14:27do not leave them.
14:31There are levels, right?
14:33Fardh, Wajib, Mustahab,
14:35Niki.
14:37So, there are some things,
14:39the deeds of goodness,
14:41which have been left to man,
14:43but there is a borderline.
14:45The things that are in the category
14:47of Fardh and Wajib,
14:49do not leave them.
14:51Now you are not able to pray,
14:53you are not able to fulfill your Fardh,
14:55obligations,
14:57do not put yourself into ruin.
14:59Then it is said,
15:01وَاَحْسِنُوا وَنَيْكَ كَامُّ كَرْتِرْهُ
15:03The meaning of Ihsaan is to do goodness.
15:05So, always remain in goodness.
15:07Look for the deeds of goodness.
15:09It is not necessary that
15:11you have completed the Fardh,
15:13so now you are free.
15:15No, the goodness that you get in society,
15:17is that you have to do good deeds,
15:19you have to help the patient,
15:21you have to answer for sneezing,
15:23you have to help the needy,
15:25you have to take care of the neighbors,
15:27you have to fulfill their rights,
15:29you have to fulfill the rights of your relatives,
15:31you have to fulfill the needs of the society,
15:33all of this comes under Ihsaan,
15:35that you keep looking for the deeds of goodness.
15:37We usually do this,
15:39that we look for the sins,
15:41and the deeds of goodness
15:43are at our door,
15:45that is, we get a chance
15:47and we leave them.
15:49But Allah says,
15:51no, keep your life busy
15:53with the deeds of goodness.
15:55Do not take time for sins,
15:57take time for the deeds of goodness.
15:59Allah loves those who do good.
16:01Allah loves those who do good.
16:03What other reward do you want
16:05that you will become the beloved of Allah?
16:07And Ihsaan is the super degree of goodness.
16:09It is the best way
16:11to do good.
16:13If we do something good,
16:15we do it in such a way
16:17that it feels like
16:19we are saving someone's life.
16:21It is not like that.
16:23For example,
16:25when we say about Salah,
16:27that you should offer Salah
16:29as if you are looking at your Lord.
16:31This commandment of Salah,
16:33that Allah is looking at you,
16:35this is the super degree of Salah.
16:37This is not limited to Salah only.
16:39Ihsaan, the degree of Ihsaan,
16:41is in all the acts of worship.
16:43When you are spending,
16:45there should not be extravagance in it.
16:47There should be sincerity in it.
16:49The more you do goodness,
16:51the better you will do it.
16:53The more you take it to the level of perfection,
16:55the better you will do it,
16:57it will go to the level of Ihsaan.
16:59And in the Holy Qur'an it is said
17:01that for those who do good,
17:03there is an extra degree of goodness.
17:05Those who do good,
17:07there is an extra degree of goodness.
17:09Those who do good,
17:11Allah will give them paradise.
17:13And Allah says,
17:15wa ziyada
17:17Those who spend more time for me,
17:19those who do my commandment
17:21in a better way,
17:23Allah says,
17:25paradise is paradise,
17:27I will give them more.
17:29There is more reward for them.
17:31Ihsaan is a term of the Holy Qur'an.
17:33It should be kept in the same context
17:35when doing good.
17:37I pray to Allah that
17:39He protects our society,
17:41the entire Muslim society
17:43from being destroyed.
17:45And grant us the ability
17:47to adopt the levels of Ihsaan
17:49and goodness.
17:51The interpretation of this Holy Qur'an
17:53has been completed.
17:55We are now moving towards a Waqf.
17:57Stay with us.

23:25Welcome viewers
23:27Qari sahab has recited
23:29Surah Baqarah
23:31Ayat 196
23:33Let's see the translation
23:35and then proceed to the explanation
23:37Allah has said
23:39Complete Hajj and Umrah for Allah
23:41So if you are stopped from Hajj or Umrah
23:43then send the sacrifice
23:45which is easy for you
23:47and until the sacrifice
23:49reaches its destination
23:51do not turn your heads
23:55So if a person is sick
23:57or has a headache
23:59then he should fast
24:01or give some charity
24:03When you are in a peaceful state
24:05then the person who
24:07does Umrah with Hajj
24:09should make one sacrifice
24:11which he can do easily
24:13and the one who cannot make the sacrifice
24:15should fast three times
24:17and seven times
24:19and when you return
24:21to your family
24:23these are 10 complete fasts
24:25and this Hajj is for the one
24:27whose family
24:29is not from
24:31Masjid-e-Haram
24:33and fear Allah
24:35and know that Allah
24:37is the one who will punish
24:39Respected viewers
24:41in Ayat 196
24:43Allah has mentioned Hajj and Umrah
24:45The instruction is
24:47And complete the Hajj and Umrah
24:49of Atim-ul-Hajj and Umrah
24:51for Allah
24:53There are many meanings
24:55of Atim-ul-Hajj
24:57One clear meaning of this
24:59is to do Hajj and Umrah
25:01for Allah
25:03which is the sincerity in worship
25:05In this journey
25:07there is a long period
25:09a person leaves the house
25:11takes a journey
25:13and stays busy for many days
25:15there are many types of worship
25:17money is spent
25:19so there is a sense of
25:21simplicity
25:23so this Umrah and Hajj
25:25should be done for Allah
25:27and in today's society
25:29you can see that
25:31some things of Hajj and Umrah
25:33are made compulsory by Shariah
25:35and some are made compulsory by us
25:37Selfie is important
25:39Live streaming is also important
25:41and these things are also important
25:43We do not feel that
25:45we have done Hajj and Umrah
25:47and our food is digested
25:49These things are not appropriate
25:51Mobile phone is used a lot
25:53for Hajj and Umrah
25:55It is a very inappropriate thing
25:57Do not divert your attention
25:59People are worried
26:01whether they have seen it or not
26:03Do not worry
26:05Allah is watching you
26:07and your attention should be
26:09towards Allah
26:11You have to wear Ihraam
26:13to show people
26:15This is a very difficult thing
26:17It can be a hindrance
26:19for acceptance
26:21The words of Ayat 196
26:23are so beautiful
26:25Complete Hajj and Umrah
26:27for Allah
26:29Complete it for Him
26:31The second aspect is
26:33that some things
26:35are not compulsory
26:37or not obligatory
26:39But when a person starts
26:41those things
26:43then he has to complete them
26:45Hajj and Umrah are also like that
26:47even if they are not compulsory
26:49But when a person has started
26:51those things
26:53and as I said
26:55it takes time,
26:57travel and other things
26:59then he has to complete
27:01those things
27:03and come back
27:05So this is the meaning
27:07Complete Hajj and Umrah for Allah
27:09Hajj was
27:11obligatory in 9 Hijri
27:13It is not allowed
27:15and Hajj means
27:17to stop for a while
27:19in the field of Arafat
27:21in the state of Ihraam
27:23and to circumambulate
27:25the house of Allah
27:27This is called Hajj
27:29There are three types of Hajj
27:31One is Ifraad, second is Tamattu
27:33and third is Qiran
27:35In Tamattu,
27:37a person's Ihraam
27:39is tied only for Hajj
27:41In Tamattu,
27:43a person ties
27:45Ihraam first for Umrah
27:47then opens that Ihraam
27:49after completing Umrah
27:51then ties Ihraam again
27:53for Hajj
27:55first for Umrah then for Hajj
27:57This is called Tamattu
27:59The third type of Hajj is Qiran
28:01when you tie Ihraam
28:03Qiran is tied
28:05for two things
28:07One is for Umrah
28:09and the other is for Hajj
28:11You complete Umrah
28:13but your Ihraam
28:15remains
28:17then you do Hajj
28:19then your Ihraam
28:21becomes zero after Hajj
28:23Qiran is the best
28:25type of Hajj
28:27There are three types of Hajj
28:29There are different
28:31types of Hajj
28:33There are many details
28:35Here Allah has commanded
28:37to complete Hajj and Umrah
28:39Then Allah said
28:41This is an important matter
28:43Allah has mentioned
28:45Ihsaar
28:47Ihsaar is
28:49that you were on the way
28:51to Hajj and for some reason
28:53you stopped on the way
28:55You were stopped
28:57It can be any compulsion
28:59It can be any compulsion
29:01Like Muslims were stopped
29:03on the way to Hudaibiyah
29:05If you were stopped
29:07then you should send a Hadee
29:09to the Haram
29:11You should make a sacrifice
29:13in the Haram
29:15and when the sacrifice is done
29:17then you will be free
29:19from Ihraam and you can go back
29:21This issue has been mentioned
29:23Allah has said
29:25Do not destroy your heads
29:27Do not destroy your heads
29:29until the sacrifice
29:31reaches the Haram
29:33reaches the Haram
29:35Some jurists say
29:37that you should make a sacrifice
29:39at the same place
29:41At the same place
29:43you will be free from Ihraam
29:45Imam Azam Abu Hanifa says
29:47that you should make the sacrifice
29:49in the Haram
29:51There is an objection from Hudaibiyah
29:53that the companions
29:55sacrificed their heads
29:57Imam Azam Abu Hanifa says
29:59that Hudaibiyah is
30:01within the limits of the Haram
30:03Hudaibiyah is
30:05within the limits of the Haram
30:07Hudaibiyah is
30:09within the limits of the Haram
30:11So, you should make the sacrifice
30:13in the Haram
30:15Nowadays, it is easy
30:17Many problems arise
30:19Many problems arise
30:21Many problems arise
30:23you should find the consensus
30:25you should find the consensus
30:27so, this is the place
30:29you should make the sacrifice
30:31after making the sacrifice
30:33you will be free from the Ihraam
30:35If you face any other
30:37issues
30:39Then Allah says
30:41Do not destroy your heads
30:43until the sacrifice reaches the Haraam
30:45Then Allah says
30:47Do not destroy your heads
30:49until the sacrifice reaches the Haraam
30:51It is said that if you are in a state of illness and someone falls ill,
30:54and he has a bandage on his head,
30:59because of which it becomes difficult for a person to maintain the bandage.
31:04So, in such a situation, when a person does not have the means,
31:09then it is allowed that you can give him alms.
31:12You can give him a fast,
31:16and there are three fasts for which you can give charity.
31:20You can give food to six poor people.
31:24You can sacrifice a calf or a goat.
31:30So, if you can do these things in a state of illness,
31:33and you want to get rid of the bad habits, then you can do it.
31:36If there is a disease or something like that, then it is allowed.
31:41In a state of peace,
31:42if someone has combined Umrah and Hajj,
31:49as I mentioned earlier,
31:51combining Ihram for Umrah and then for Hajj,
31:53there, the Quran says that you have to make a sacrifice.
31:56This is not the kind of sacrifice that is made to Dasd-ul-Hijjah.
32:00This is a sacrifice to thank Allah for Hajj.
32:02You are doing Umrah and Hajj,
32:04so you have to make a sacrifice for this at that level.
32:07If someone does Hajj and cannot make a sacrifice,
32:11then Allah has mentioned the option for that as well.
32:14If someone cannot make a sacrifice,
32:19then he should fast three times in the three days of Hajj.
32:24He should fast three times in the three days of Hajj.
32:28And he should fast seven times when he comes back.
32:33So, if he fasts on the 7th, 8th, and 9th,
32:37if he cannot make a sacrifice, he should fast three times.
32:40And if he fasts on the 7th, 8th, and 9th,
32:42or if he fasts on the 13th,
32:45if he fasts on the 13th, 8th, and 9th,
32:47and if he fasts in the Haram, then it will be done.
32:50And if he comes back and fasts, then it is better.
32:53So, if he fasts three times in the days of Hajj,
32:55and if he fasts seven times in the days after Hajj,
32:58the Quran says,
32:59تِلْكَ عَشَرَةٌ كَامِلًۭا
33:01that ten fasts will be completed.
33:03So, if you fast ten times and cannot make a sacrifice,
33:07then it will be changed.
33:08ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُ حَاذِرِ الْمَسْتِدِ الْحَرَامِ
33:11This is for those who do not live in the Haram Mosque.
33:16So, those who live in the Haram Mosque,
33:21those who live within the limits of the Haram,
33:23there is no sacrifice for them.
33:25They perform Hajj alone,
33:27they perform Hajj directly and become free from it.
33:30There is no sacrifice for them.
33:31The sacrifice is for those who are fasting,
33:34those who come from outside,
33:36those who come from outside and perform Hajj.
33:38So, if they cannot make a sacrifice,
33:40then these ten fasts are necessary for them.
33:44وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهِ
33:45Allah says that all the Surahs of Hajj,
33:48the performance of Hajj,
33:49the most fundamental thing in this is Allah's Taqwa.
33:53Taqwa should be together.
33:55Allah's fear should be there.
33:57Allah's fear should be there.
33:59Allah's glory and beauty,
34:01Allah's blessings should be directed towards people.
34:07وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهِ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
34:09And know that Allah is the One who gives severe punishment.
34:14So, Hajj is a very important form of worship,
34:19and it has all these relations and commandments
34:22which Allah the Almighty has stated in different Surahs.
34:27We pray to Allah the Almighty that whenever the pilgrims perform Hajj,
34:30may He accept them.
34:32And may Allah the Almighty make it a destiny for all of us financially and physically.
34:40Those who are watching the programme,
34:42there is a prayer for all of us, there is a prayer for all Muslims.
34:45Take care of yourselves.
34:47The programme has come to an end.
34:49We will meet again, God willing.
34:51Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
35:00Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
