Manchester is home to a wonderful amount of successful independent breweries, and Track Brewery is right at the heart of that.
They have been operating for years now and have an army of diehard fans, I went along to go for a tour, and try a few samples, to understand why it is the success that it is.
The answer?
In short, the attention to detail and the community around it.

00:00Hi, I'm Theo with Manchester World, and today I'm here at Track Brewery.
00:04Track is just one of many great Manchester breweries that we're really keen to emphasise
00:07are doing a great job at keeping Manchester's beer scene alive.
00:11I came here to speak to Dev, who's the taproom manager, to talk a little bit about their
00:14process of making beer and what makes this place so special.
00:17So we've been on this site since October 2021.
00:21Any beer that you drink from Track will be made in this facility here.
00:25Our owner Sam started this business around 2014.
00:27He'd just come off the back of cycling around the world for about two years, but along the
00:33way he stopped off at loads of different taprooms, and that kind of inspired him to create these
00:39like forward-thinking beers, so he could eventually get a space like this.
00:43I mean it's a startling amount of beer, and the ones that you can see in front of me,
00:46these are just five of 23 that they sell here at the taproom, and I'll let Dev talk you
00:50through them.
00:51This is Arosa, our Hellers, and this here is our West Coast Pale, which we just put
01:00out last week called Being Human.
01:02What you've got is a real community, and a community that works together to build each
01:06other up.
01:07That's where the community element really grows there.
01:11It's really nice that we don't really see each other as being in competition with each
01:17other, and instead it's more a case of if we can bring more people to Manchester and
01:22come and experience the beer scene that we've created and grown here, then it's better for
01:29all of us.
01:30We actually do something called a block party, which is happening three times this year in
01:35this area.
01:36That's a chance for all four of the venues in this area in Piccadilly East to throw basically
01:43a party.
01:46We all get together, we all organise it, and it's really nice to be able to do that with
01:50all the other breweries.
01:51And that's what makes Manchester's beer scene so special, and that's what makes Trak so
01:54special too.
01:56So from Trak Brewery, I'm Theo Cusen-Betts with Manchester World.
