00:00Oh yeah, the life of a journalist.
00:03For some of you, with the amount of music festival writing that I've been doing over
00:07the past month or so, you might think that my weekend will look a little something like
00:12this.
00:13Well, in actual fact, it's more like this.
00:27Hey!
00:28What are you doing?
00:31Put a shirt on!
00:34You're not at Cranefields yet!
00:38Yes, sadly I won't be attending Cranefields North 2024 this year to see the likes of Calvin
00:50Harrison Alesso headlining the brand new indoor main stage that the organisers have constructed.
00:56But if I was to be at Cranefields this year, here's five acts I would be checking out
01:01during the festival.
01:02Is it really Cranefields North or a dance festival without Das Wunderkind's Scooter
01:07performing live?
01:09The group who are more often than not asking you to move your a**.
01:13They're performing on Friday at 6.30pm and are without question one of the most high
01:18energy acts you could see at Cranefields.
01:22I mean the band is full of energy, not the dance genre high NRG.
01:33Considered a living legend of trance, Armin van Buuren performs once again on Saturday
01:38from 4pm, with the five time DJ Mag's number one DJ in the world known for his ability
01:44to connect with the crowd and deliver electrified sets that transcend the ordinary.
01:49Now, I have a prepared statement here regarding Armin van Buuren that they want me to read
01:54out.
01:55Whether you're a trance veteran or new to the scene, get ready to be taken on an incredible
02:02journey as Armin unleashes his signature sound at Cranefields North 2024.
02:07End.
02:08Am I meant to say that?
02:14Meanwhile a little later on on Saturday, well quarter to one to be in fact, Subfocus, a
02:20titan in the drum and bass world renowned for his high energy performances, again high
02:25energy not high NRG like, too unlimited, and chart topping tracks that blend drum and bass
02:32waves with a spectrum of electronic styles, teams up with ID who's been making waves with
02:37his fresh take on bass music.
02:39The set's promising to be a solid mix of bass heavy bangers and innovative beats to keep
02:44you pumping well into the early hours, you've got that until 2am my friend.
02:53One I hope to catch sooner rather than later, Barry Can't Swim.
02:57Now the Edinburgh born London based producer has been turning heads with his unique fusion
03:02of jazz infused house and melodic electronica.
03:06Barry's sound is a blend of smooth grooves, uplifting rhythms and deep emotional undertones
03:11that captivate the senses.
03:13So whether it's the first time hearing him or you're already a fan, well prepare to be
03:17mesmerised by another dynamic set that showcases his production skills and deep musicality.
03:24Get ready to swim in the vibe as Barry Can't Swim takes you on a soulful journey.
03:34And closing out the weekend in what's set to be spectacular fashion, Bicep presenting
03:39their Chroma AV DJ set.
03:42Hailing from Belfast the dynamic duo has redefined electronic music with their hypnotic beats
03:47and incredible visuals, and are known for their genre defiant sound that blends elements
03:51of house, techno and breakbeat.
03:54Bicep's live performances are a feast for the senses with their Chroma AV set taking
03:59things to another level combining their stunning visual artistry with their signature soundscapes.
04:06I mean what better way to farewell to another Creamfields North festival than basking in
04:10their immersive set.
04:12But those are my picks, so who are your picks for Creamfields North 2024?
