00:00:40capacity crowd in Phoenix, Arizona,

00:00:43at the American West Arena,

00:00:46with the superstars of World Champion,

00:00:49Jim Lashley.

00:00:50Where as always, we have the hottest program

00:00:53on Monday Night.

00:00:55Along with the living legend, Larry Sabisco,

00:00:58I am Tony Schiavone.

00:01:00And I talked about a shocking turn of events last night.

00:01:03Let's talk a little bit that we have new World Tag Team Champions.

00:01:07The Outsiders defeat Harambe,

00:01:09become the World Tag Team Champions.

00:01:11Hollywood Hulk Hogan retains the WCW World Heavyweight Title.

00:01:15We'll be talking more about that.

00:01:16But the most shocking turn of events last night,

00:01:18Larry was at the end of the program,

00:01:20when out walked Rowdy Roddy Piper.

00:01:23You heard me right.

00:01:24Rowdy Roddy Piper, no one was more shocked

00:01:27than Hollywood Hulk Hogan.

00:01:28As a matter of fact, when Piper came out

00:01:30and held center court.

00:01:32And as he was talking to Hulk Hogan,

00:01:35some very startling words,

00:01:37bantered back and forth between the two.

00:01:39We will show you and listen to that interview

00:01:42later on in the second hour of this telecast tonight, Larry.

00:01:45Well, you know, the stench of the new world odor,

00:01:49unfortunately, is growing stronger.

00:01:51They are now in possession of the Heavyweight Championship

00:01:54and the Tag Team Championships of the world.

00:01:57At least we've got a maybe superhero

00:02:01in the making, a man who came out of the woodwork.

00:02:04Competition for Hollywood Hulk Hogan.

00:02:07At least Roddy Piper's movies are better than Hogan's.

00:02:10You can't deny what Roddy Piper has meant to this sport.

00:03:24No one can outdo Lord Regal when it comes to that.

00:03:35Just got back from overseas,

00:03:37and he's back here now.

00:07:10and he's a much bigger man.

00:10:12We are going to take you back

00:10:15once again to last night

00:10:16at Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc.

00:10:18Arn Anderson, the enforcer,

00:10:20going up against the total package Lex Luger

00:10:23in a highly contested matchup,

00:10:25and a lot of bitter blood between these two men.

00:10:28As a matter of fact, Lex Luger more aggressive

00:10:30than we have seen him before,

00:10:31but that did not stop Arn Anderson

00:10:33from all the illegal tactics that he could use.

00:10:36Later in the match, Mark Curtis, the referee,

00:10:38inadvertently gets bumped, gets sent down,

00:10:40and then Lex Luger releases Arn Anderson

00:10:43and then Lex Luger really kicked into high gear, Larry.

00:10:46He used the chair repeatedly on the back of Arn Anderson,

00:10:49as you can see right here on the back

00:10:51as Arn Anderson was thrown on the mat,

00:10:53put him in the torture rack.

00:10:54As a matter of fact, he would not let go

00:10:56of that torture rack last night

00:10:58and thus sent Arn Anderson to the hospital last night.

00:11:01Well, turnabout is fair play.

00:11:04Arn Anderson nailed Luger a couple weeks ago

00:11:06with the chair, injured his small in the back.

00:11:09Luger got revenge last night.

00:11:11He got to carry Arn Anderson out,

00:11:13and believe me, that is not an easy feat.

00:11:15I don't care how many guys you got in that journey.

00:11:17Of course, Arn Anderson's injury,

00:11:19we do understand it wasn't a severe injury,

00:11:21and Arn Anderson should be back in action very, very soon.

00:11:24Much the same type of injury that he inflicted

00:11:27on Lex Luger a couple of weeks ago

00:11:29right here on WCW Monday Night Show,

00:11:31but there was another injury last night,

00:11:33an injury to Eddie Guerrero,

00:11:35who suffered some broken ribs

00:11:37in another high-impact match against Diamond Dallas Payne.

00:11:40You know, when are the Guerreros gonna give up?

00:11:42When are they gonna smarten up?

00:11:44When are they gonna learn that no Guerrero

00:11:46can beat Diamond Dallas Payne?

00:11:48There was a plethora of them.

00:11:50He went through Chavo Jr. and Chavo Sr.

00:11:53and this one and that one.

00:11:55Eddie went back in the ring.

00:11:57Diamond Dallas got back the ring.

00:12:00Diamond Dallas got back the ring

00:12:02that was obviously in the pocket of Nick Hedrick all along

00:12:06and never in the history of our sport

00:12:09has one referee made so much of a difference

00:12:13in one singular event

00:12:15as occurred last night at Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc.

00:12:18As a result of all of that,

00:12:20we will be talking to Nick Hedrick

00:18:47The opening bout was for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship of the World.

00:18:52The challenger, of course, Dean Malenko.

00:18:54He is a former champion against the High Flyer.

00:18:56He's held the belt for four months.

00:18:58Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:19:00The match was everything we thought it would be.

00:19:02High flying moves, high risk maneuvers from the inside to the outside by both men.

00:19:07Rey Mysterio Jr. in the middle of the match recaptured the mask he had lost to Dean Malenko.

00:19:12Put the mask back on.

00:19:13But that did not deter the former champion.

00:19:15Dean Malenko with a ground and aerial assault recaptured the Cruiserweight Championship.

00:19:21Matter of fact, from the top, with one of these patented power bombs from the top,

00:19:25Dean Malenko gets to one, two, three and celebrates as he is the Cruiserweight Champion once again.

00:19:31It was a great match, Larry.

00:19:33That was one of the greatest matches I've ever seen.

00:19:35A lot of people underestimate Malenko's ability off the mat because of his great mat expertise.

00:19:40But you can't count Malenko out on the matter in the air as we found out last night.

00:19:47And here we go with the next bout.

00:19:50Dean Malenko will be coming out the Cruiserweight Champion.

00:19:52And he has his work cut out for him here against Jim Powers along with Teddy Long, his advisor.

00:20:54An accomplished man wrestler who can go aerial is a tough man to beat.

00:22:39Malenko has proved that he can be power man,

00:22:41he can be quick man,

00:22:43he can be just about anyone.

00:22:45He is the Cruiserweight champion,

00:22:47and I'm sure Malenko heard

00:22:56in the Cruiserweight Championship.

00:22:58They have now the World Heavyweight title,

01:37:34And when I looked in Piper's eyes, after he kept admiring my accomplishments,

01:37:42I saw the fear in his eyes, and as he turned his skirt and ran.
