00:00Criminal violence and disorder has no place on Britain's streets.
00:05We've been clear to the police that they have our full backing
00:09in taking the strongest possible action against perpetrators,
00:14including when making sure that there are more prosecutors,
00:18there are sufficient prison places,
00:20and also that the courts stand ready,
00:22because anyone who engages in this kind of disorder
00:25needs to be clear that they will pay the price.
00:28There have already been arrests and charges,
00:30but we know that that will continue
00:33and the police have our full backing.
00:35I want everyone to be clear.
00:37Anyone who gets involved in criminal disorder,
00:41violent thuggery on our streets,
00:44will have to pay the price
00:45and they should expect there to be arrests,
00:47prosecutions, penalties and the full force of the law,
00:50including imprisonment, travel bans and more,
00:54because it's really important that communities can feel safe on the streets
00:57and there are consequences for breaking the law.
