00:00We have ourselves a Phillies trade. We asked for one. We got one, Dave Dombrowski and the
00:05Phillies have just pulled off a deal. All right. This is from the Phillies themselves. So it is
00:09official. The Phillies have acquired Austin Hayes, an outfielder, and he's played some first base
00:15from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Sir Anthony Dominguez and Christian Pache.
00:21Now that's an interesting move. I mean, the Phillies obviously now are given up on Dominguez.
00:25I mean, that that's a little bit interesting. They're not waiting any longer, any longer for
00:29Sir Anthony to come around. Christian Pache is going to move on as well. And the Phillies get
00:34back Austin Hayes. Now Austin Hayes is an interesting player. He's had seasons of 22 home
00:37runs, 16, 16. Now this year, he's kind of been replaced in Baltimore by all their young guys
00:44that here that have arrived. So he's only gotten 175 plate appearances. He hasn't played that much.
00:50He only has three home runs, but he's been a guy that it was an all-star last year. Like he has
00:55some track record to him. It's just all those young guys that have arrived in Baltimore. He's
00:58kind of fallen down the depth chart and he gets to come here. I think he'll get a good amount
01:02of playing time in left field. Yeah. And it looks like, you know, it's the kind of move that you,
01:06that I would, you would think that the Phillies would make. Not, not a big splash, a guy that's a
01:10little bit older and he can come in and he, I think he fits right into this locker room.
01:14Well, here's the other thing, his numbers this year, ready for this against left-handed pitching
01:18as we look for the platoon partner for Brandon Marsh, 328 batting average, 394 on base percentage,
01:25a 500 slugging percentage against left-handed pitching. He hits lefties. He could play left
01:31field. This is the platoon partner for Brandon Marsh. So I like it. I'm good with this,
01:35but here's what it tells me. There's another bigger move coming. You think so? Well,
01:39they just subtracted from their bullpen. So they got to go get another arm.
01:42And I think it means they could also be getting a center fielder because it feels like without
01:47Pache, maybe Rojas can move to the Pache role and they get a different center fielder. Kyle,
01:52I'm fine with the move. I'm a little surprised they traded Dominguez,
01:56but I think this is the precursor to another move. Well, yeah. And then also.
