00:00A world series preview, perhaps not something we would have

00:07thought of saying just a few weeks ago, at least for the

00:10American League perspective of this conversation. That's the

00:13Houston Astros, but it's hard to say that's not a reality now.

00:18Houston, a home favorite today from Valdez gets the start for

00:21the throws. They're a favorite at home against the Dodgers

00:25again. LA not often booked as a dog, Gavin Stone out there for

00:30LA. They just won three of four games in their midweek set

00:34against the Giants. The Dodgers have won six of seven since

00:37returning from the All-Star break. What do you like tonight

00:40in the opener in H-Town? I gotta tell you, I think I might

00:43be leaning towards an under here. I like both of these

00:45lineups, but these pitchers I think have been decent over the

00:48past 60 days. Take a look at Fran Breval, that's gonna be on

00:50his home bump, who's certainly like that. An 88 X-Fit minus

00:53over the past two months, a 318 ERA and a 359 X-Fit number.

00:58That's very good. You take a look at Gavin Stone, he's not

01:01too far behind Ben, a 93 X-Fit minus and a 279 ERA and a 374

01:06X-Fit number. If we're lining up the team, talking about the

01:08Dodgers lineup, one through nine, Otani, Smith, Freeman,

01:11and Hernandez have done very well against left-handed

01:13pitching over the past 60 days. Outside of that, other guys

01:16struggling, Pajes, Vargas, Hernandez, Lux, and Ahmed, not

01:20so great. Let's go over to the other side, take a look at how

01:22Gavin Stone matches up. How about this? Starting to come

01:25alive at the plate, the Houston Astros, right? Their record

01:27getting better, they're starting to hit, they're starting to

01:30pitch better. You take a look at Altuve, Alvarez, Diaz,

01:33Singleton, Pena, and Caratini, all of those guys, elevated

01:37numbers over the past 30 days against right-handed pitching.

01:40I give the edge to Houston here, but I also think this

01:43game is gonna stay under the tote.
