00:00Day two of New York Jets training camp is in the books, and the fans at One Jets Drive were treated to a show right away.
00:09Quarterback Aaron Rodgers connected with Garrett Wilson on a 50-yard bomb on the first play of Team Drills.
00:16It was the kind of play that had fans thinking about a dream in February for the New York Jets.
00:22Outside of the connection with Rodgers and Wilson, which was sublime all day, completely terrific overall,
00:28they weren't the biggest winners of day two. That belongs to Tack McKinley, the former Atlanta Falcons edge rusher,
00:35was completely dominant on the defensive end. He was easily the best defensive player the Jets had all day today.
00:42He recorded three sacks against the second team offense, was just a complete excellent player overall.
00:48I think he secured a roster spot on this day alone. He was that good.
00:52Otherwise, some big players to watch out for. Tyron Smith and Max Mitchell both were excellent in pass protection today.
00:59One of the main takeaways was the fact that Rodgers was able to deal down the field because the offensive line was protecting him so well in Team Drills.
01:08This is usually a time where the defensive line has their day, but Max Mitchell and Tyron Smith were incredible.
01:15Jermaine Johnson, later on after practice, talked about Smith being perfect for his development
01:21and understanding different moves and techniques needed to get past some of the best left tackles in the game.
01:27Smith certainly is right now.
01:29For AFON Sports and Men's Journal, I'm Nick Faria. We'll be back tomorrow for day three of Jets training camp.
