00:00Thanos has the stones, but Peter has an upgrade. Here's a look at the brand-new
00:043-0 Marvel Studios Avengers Infinity War DLX collectible figure of the Iron
00:09Spider. 3-0 and Marvel Studios are pleased to present the DLX Iron
00:31Spider as their next figure in the Marvel DLX series. Based on the design
00:34seen in Avengers Infinity Saga films, the Spider-Man figure features his
00:38memorable Iron Spider look. DLX Spider-Man is a fully articulated figure that
00:42stands approximately 6.5 inches tall and is constructed of 3-0's unique die-cast
00:47zinc alloy engineer grade plastic frame system with 68 points of articulation
00:52providing rigid points and structural integrity with a high range of
00:55articulation that allows for various action poses. Peter trades in this
00:59fabric suit for something more in metal. Just before we get a closer look though
01:03at the Iron Spider DLX figure, courtesy of the folks over at 3-0, I'd like to
01:06thank the folks over at 3-0 that provided this sample. The figure is
01:10slated to release the second quarter of 2024 and going for the asking price of
01:13$99.99. Iron Spider though is gonna stand at 6 inches in
01:18heights or Peter Parker is gonna be about 15 and a half centimeters tall. Now
01:24the first Marvel figure that we've actually looked at from 3-0, I'm gonna
01:27slide over here Iron Spider. I wanted to bring in though Tony Stark, not maybe
01:31necessarily the one that we get here from Infinity Saga, but more one we
01:34actually got from Civil War. Here's what the figure though looks like with the
01:37Marvel Iron Man Mark 46. Again about the same size of what we normally would get
01:42with Iron Man's but at least it gives you guys a good idea of how much
01:45shorter though Peter Parker would be as it would be the case also in the films
01:48as well. I think at first before we look at the figures accessories, the first two
01:53things though I did want to bring to your attention is the fact that Iron
01:55Spider does come include first of all instruction booklet. It's always really
01:58kind of good to spend some quality time to read through the guide so you know
02:01what range of motion first of all the figure has not to mention all the
02:04different ways that you can swap out the parts. On one side is the full list of
02:08contents of everything that was inside those trays which I've already taken the
02:10liberty of removing. On the adjacent side is all the full range of motion. I feel
02:15like you really get the chance now to experience how much articulation these
02:18figures actually possess when you get someone like a character like Iron Spider
02:21because Spider-Man has just a lot more flexibility than he would say Iron
02:25Iron Man and will again cover off as much as I can with all the things that
02:28you can actually move on the figure. There's quite a lot. The inside of the
02:32booklet though shows you how to change out various different Spider-Man eyes
02:35and also as well how to include and add the arms on the back of his body. As you
02:39currently see right now the figure doesn't have any. Definitely again I
02:42would recommend going through this first before we start to look at the figure.
02:44I've already taken the liberty of looking through it and again we'll kind
02:47of run through everything together. The figure also does come in clear with a
02:50display stand. This really no different than the display stands we've gotten
02:53with Iron Man although this time we've got etched into the plastic Infinity
02:56Saga and obviously what would have been different than the Iron Man is does
03:00actually have printed down below here Iron Spider. It consists of two parts so
03:03when you get out of the packaging you've got yourself of course the starting base
03:06and of course you've got yourself an adjustable neck. The adjustable neck does
03:09adjust in various places. It probably makes more sense obviously to
03:13attach it onto the display stand. So it rotates back and forth this way, it
03:17rotates up and down this way and when you get to the top it also has two
03:20knuckle joints, one here and one here. So again you've got quite a lot of range to
03:25work with as you probably saw at the beginning of this review. This does
03:27attach onto the back of Spider-Man's body and what's involved actually if you
03:31look at the back of him right down here down by his spider behind he does
03:35actually have a little plate here. He does have really one tool and I'm just
03:38gonna reach off to the side and grab it here. It comes with one lifting tool that
03:42kind of helps to assist removing that. There's a little lift as you can see
03:45right there. If you're having a hard time getting that with your finger the tool
03:48actually comes rather in handy just to kind of get in there and flick this up
03:51and of course I would always really recommend if you're having things like
03:55this removed put him immediately to the side because you don't want to lose them.
03:59So now he has a hole here and basically that hole just attaches on to the
04:03display stand neck and of course then you can get Spider-Man in different
04:07poses. I mean he has again a considerable amount of posability so if
04:11you are one that likes to pose your Spider-Man in different poses you can
04:13definitely pull that off probably a little bit more effectively a little
04:16more effectively than what I just did right now but again it kind of gives you
04:19at least an idea of how much range he has to work with. Spider-Man comes with
04:22Spider-Man things. First of all he comes with webbing. Various different webbings
04:26that if you are familiar with collecting higher-end Spider-Man figures the webbing
04:29tends to usually be of these kind of configurations. First you got yourself
04:32full long link strands that have a bend at the bottom here. The idea in mind is
04:37if you get these extra hands that come included with it for example you can
04:40have Spider-Man holding this as if the web is kind of like basically he's
04:44swinging from one web and then continuing on his journey with the next.
04:48So this basically just then sits in his hand. It is a little on the looser
04:52side but at least it is you know again it's something that I had at the
04:55beginning of this review displayed the figure with. He has also a couple of
04:58other various different webs. Now with these webs he comes with a longer length
05:02version and then he comes with basically the same idea but just a little bit of a
05:06shorter length. It's probably about half maybe about two-thirds the length but
05:11they loop around his hands the exact same way. So you get two of these
05:14basically a pair of each and when you're attaching them on to Spider-Man's
05:18hands essentially what you need to do first is you have to remove the hands
05:21from the peg. So carefully just pop the hands off the pegs like that. Take the
05:25hand that you would obviously want to use. So a web shooting hand he comes
05:29with a couple of those. I guess maybe first before we do anything let's run
05:32through the hands he actually comes with. So Spider-Man gets himself let's just
05:36grab these right now a couple of relaxed hands and all of these again like just
05:40the amount of detail and paint that they put into these pieces. So he has
05:44those web shooters there. I guess those would be his
05:47web shooting buttons there on the inside of his palms. Comes a couple of those.
05:51The figure also as well comes with a slight variation of that. If you look at
05:56them I'm just gonna grab the one that we just finished having a look at. See how
05:59the fingers are flat and the fingers here are a little bit bent. So it kind of
06:02gives you the more the idea that Spider-Man's walking up a wall. Spider-Man
06:06also of course comes included with the web shooting hands. Comes with a pair of
06:09those and then the hand that I was just finishing talking about he also comes
06:14again again include with this one that's got the little lump thumb sticking up
06:17and again you would just take yourself this bent piece and then that would feed
06:21inside the hand like that. Now that what I did want to show you as I've already
06:26taken the liberty of removing one of the hands. So what you'll do is with the ones
06:30that have the little loops here you'll put them on side the or inside the peg
06:34first like that and then you'll take yourself your Spider-Man web shooting
06:37hand and you'll just put it on the peg. I will admit it's not the easiest thing
06:41to do because the peg is first of all so small and now it's also sharing real
06:45estate space with also the little loop there so you just basically take
06:48Spider-Man's hand carefully carefully carefully just take that in place. Again
06:53it was so much easier to do this at the beginning because obviously I was able
06:56just to do it behind the camera but that basically the hand just plugs in place. I
07:01think I've got it. Do I have it? I think I've got it. It basically just plugs in
07:05place like that so then you can have Spider-Man shooting the web forward. The
07:09only thing unfortunately it does lose a little bit of the illusion because
07:11you've got the little you've got the noticeable little loop there in between
07:14his hand and his wrist. So go ahead and just remove that right now. Put the
07:19regular hand at least in for a stand-in hand for right now. Probably going to be
07:23changing things up I'm sure as we get to the end of this review but just by
07:26the way I did want to show you guys this luckily doesn't fall off. That was one of
07:30my biggest concerns. I'm thinking if that's loose like this that's gonna
07:33slide right off the sleeve. I'm gonna have to worry about that every single
07:36time but no it does seem like it's permanently attached. I'm sure you
07:39probably could just force it off but who would really want to do that. I just want
07:42to show you that guys though the size of that peg. See how small that is and how
07:46little you really have to work with but the hand basically just fits on that.
07:50With a lot of times these pegs too they also swing back and forth so it's always
07:54really kind of hard to it's like catching something catching a butterfly
07:57in the air. If you don't have yourself a net you're kind of having just to chase
08:00it by your hands but that just basically pegs in place. You can also help too by
08:06twisting this back and forth but see what I mean like this this little hinge
08:10joint frequently frequently swings back and forth on you. Again we're just gonna
08:15want to get the hand back in place because I want to make sure there we go
08:18I want to make sure that the hand isn't gonna go anywhere. The other thing by the
08:21way while we're still talking about webs is the also comes in clue with that
08:24funnel web piece. So while using that displaced end which just happens to be
08:28over here right now if you use that and say for example you were using this
08:32piece see how this little end has a has a little connecting peg that plugs in
08:37just like that so you can look at have it looking as if spider-man suspending
08:41himself from the ceiling and again you can really pull that off effectively by
08:44using that display stand. Other things that the figure comes included with
08:47we've already looked at the fact I'm just gonna grab it here it comes
08:50included with the tool that's the lifting tool to flip off the back panel
08:53on the back of his behind. The figure also comes included with this tool too
08:56and this tool is more for there to be changing out the eyes. I will say though
09:00about changing out the eyes it's gonna be a really hard thing to pull off. The
09:04eyes themselves as starting points first of all spider-man does come included
09:08with the blue eyes. This is default this is how they look when you get them first
09:12out of the packaging and as just stand-in defaulted eyes they look fine.
09:15I like by the way that if you look really close to them you can actually
09:18see they've got a little like a little honeycomb pattern effect. I think they've
09:22done an exceptional job on these eyes. Now he does also come and I'm gonna do
09:26my best not to drop these. Running through each of them he comes with these
09:29slitted eyes which essentially is the same eye that he has right now. He comes
09:34included with a medium version of that slot so like not quite as wide as this
09:39not as well you know what let's just grab the other eye here you guys can
09:43actually see this is a little bit more of a thinner slit this is a medium slit
09:48and then he's got the wider open out eyes and then he's also got as well the
09:52red eyes which again is very very hard to show you guys. If you look through the
09:57instruction booklet the way that they actually tell you to change the eyes is
10:00that first you got to pop the head off and you pop it off the ball joint like
10:05that but if you look at it I'm just gonna grab back the manual I want to
10:09show you guys where exactly we are right now it's right here so we've popped the
10:13head off yes but you'll notice nowhere on here is the ball joint it's not still
10:18in the neck it's certainly not sticking out the bottom of the head it's a
10:22separate piece and then you're gonna have to take the tool and tool basically
10:25fishes inside the head cavity to pop out the eyes that they are right now the
10:29problem with that though is you probably have already seen popping the head off
10:32I've done this several times and it always still seems to be the case that
10:36the ball joint remains behind I can't even get in there with the tool the tool
10:40is supposed for all intensive purposes supposed to fit inside the head it's
10:43supposed to pop the eye out that way but I can't seem to reach it there's a
10:48workaround to that in fact if you have you could use you know your fingers
10:52really you could actually just pull the eye off from the side just like that you
10:57want to be careful though of course just pop off one of them and let's grab let's
11:01grab one of the little slit eyes here and just to give you guys an idea of the
11:06difference between the two a normal eye the slightly smaller slit eye and again
11:12all of that was really involved me just pulling off by the corners you can do
11:15that by your fingers I mean the tool is really there but the tool doesn't really
11:18I find like unless this whole section is supposed to come off every single time
11:23though I've tried to do this the ball joint still remains behind so I can't I
11:27can't seem to get in there I can't even really see where that tool would fit
11:30what's it supposed to be on the sides maybe that's supposed to be it but
11:33honestly though providing you're not doing any damage and I haven't knocked
11:37on wood done any damage so far you could easily just again fish it out from the
11:41corners you just don't really want to make sure that the eyes all the way on
11:43there because you really don't want the eye to fall off at all while you're
11:46moving other things around so we'll just pop that back onto the ball joint
11:50there we go and then the last thing that spider-man also does have as well is of
11:56course his additional mechanical arms now the arms themselves I get spider-man
12:01here to stand there we go the arms themselves seem very much like they're
12:06all the exact same design I don't think they've done anything necessarily
12:10different where you'd be able to look at one and look at the other and say well
12:12I see a noticeable difference between the two they look like they're all
12:15identical and you get four of these each one of them do bend there's a knuckle
12:20joint on I guess three sections you've got the one on the end really does
12:24technically serve also as a knuckle joint so there's one here a hinge joint
12:26hinge a hinge and a hinge and between all of those they were collectively give
12:30you a nice little curve to the arms these though can't simply just attach
12:34onto the bought back of his body the way that they are right now you'll have to
12:37remove this plate this plate right here and you don't really necessarily need
12:41either the tool you just kind of bend the torso forward like this and then I
12:46don't you guys can see it there's a line if I move my finger out of the way so
12:49there's a line right there if you basically follow the contour of the
12:52outer of the outer leg of the spider that's where the whole outer X the outer
12:56I guess the cutout area of that shape is basically all you're just gonna do is
13:00grab this with the bottom of your fingers and roll you're gonna grab the
13:04bottom of this with your fingers and you're just gonna pop that out
13:06completely then you're gonna take this piece which is basically just well it
13:10would be the flip of that one and then you just pop this in place now I would
13:16say you could just have left this on the back of his body if you decide you
13:19you're not really sure if you want to settle on the idea of having his legs
13:22the only problem with that though is this doesn't give the obviously as clean
13:25of a body on the back so now he's got to go all these extra ports on the back so
13:29basically you just take your legs and they just peg in placement they're not
13:34very difficult thing at all the whole time I'm doing this the whole thing I'm
13:37just keep thinking to myself is just wanna make sure that spider eye doesn't
13:41pop out of his out of his head but these themselves fit in fairly easy there's
13:46one there's two we're on to now number three again that just plugs in place and
13:51similar really to the hands if you're having a hard time doing this I find
13:55it's kind of helpful just to kind of bring the peg a little bit more in an
13:58angle and just twist it just twist it a little bit as you're putting pressure
14:01against it I've noticed this with the bottom ones at least that the bottom
14:06ones are a little harder to get in I don't know why the top ones are fine I
14:10didn't have a real tough time at all with the top ones the bottom ones little
14:13more of a struggle and again we're just gonna pop these this is also something
14:18to if you're looking at these see there's a little there's a split clip on
14:22the end of it I don't know how frequently I would really want to detach
14:25these I think really once I commit to the idea of having the legs on there I'm
14:29probably just gonna leave them be because again I just don't want to
14:31damage these at all and again with now these attached onto the back of
14:35spider-man's body you can see really how much range he has to work with all
14:39of these really rotate on their own and then you've got the additional benefit
14:42of now the hinges so again you've got some for we well we looked at the fact
14:45they had four so you can do a lot really going on here with spider-man's legs
14:49whether you decide you want to display the figure with that or not getting
14:52though a closer look now we've spent all this time all this time discussing all
14:56the things that he comes in clear with let's get a closer look though at the
14:58figure if you followed me long enough you know that I've never been a big fan
15:02of this version of iron spider ideally though iron spider in the comics where
15:06he basically had more just a red suit and gold eyes was always kind of my go-to
15:09design for the character obviously I don't think that would have translated
15:12maybe as well to the movies so they kind of went with more of an elaborate look
15:15to the characters I like the suits I just don't love the suits one thing
15:20though about spider-man now he does have a metallic finish and you can still see
15:24despite using a metallic red the webbing is still very much a standout thing on
15:28the character he's got some nice panel lining here in the gold you've got the
15:31big now giant spider-man symbol there on the front it's a little now lost
15:35obviously because we've got the arms there on the back of his body but he's
15:38got a smaller one there as well he's got a really like a lot of busyness going on
15:42there now that might be something you're really into I again I just wasn't a big
15:45fan of the look of the suit in the movie I gotta say though I like the look of it
15:49as the figure now there's a lot of die-cast happening here the figure
15:52generally is quite heavy in hand and again we'll kind of talk about the
15:56articulation here more in a moment but you can see like there's just a lot of
15:59work that three zeros put into the piece the paint generally is quite clean
16:02I don't really have any complaints at all I like the use of the metallic blue
16:05even if you're not a big fan of a metallic spider-man I think you would
16:08have to admit though like that the figure itself looks quite good it's got
16:12the shoulder pads there on the tops now with the shoulder pads these are
16:15actually separate pieces they're on ball joints we'll talk a little bit more about
16:17that in a moment he's got again these additional gauntlet pieces on the ends
16:20of his arms but again just a really interesting looking spider-man not my
16:24favorites but the figure does do things quite well for the figures articulation
16:29though here's basically where we're gonna have a lot to cover off here
16:32spider-man's heads gonna be in a ball joint so already on its own I mean at
16:36the beginning of this review I sort of had him in a swinging pose and yes you
16:39could pull off that quite successfully it's got a ball joint in the head so
16:42that already moves on its own back and forth up down I mean look at look how
16:46far the head arches back for example so if you kind of want to have them even in
16:49a swinging pose that way the neck is also on its own ball joint so you can
16:53rotate it that way to the upper torso is gonna be on a very good ball joint it
16:58isn't so much a ball joint that rotates I mean it's a little tighter on the
17:01sides but it says still does get the job done the torso moves up the move torso
17:05moves down and then spider-man has basically that same thing happening
17:08again near his lower waist so he also moves up and down that way to the arms
17:13come out and because the way they've attached the shoulders you would think
17:16like really the shoulders would get in the way but if you look at them they're
17:19actually attached by a ball joint and the ball joint is on its hinge so it
17:23actually does move a little bit up and down there too so it does nicely get out
17:27of the way when you want to really move the arms the arms they'll rotate all the
17:30way around I'm just avoiding trying to get spider-man's legs in the way he has
17:33a swivel there but the swivel isn't necessarily further down on the bicep
17:37where you'd expect it to be it's actually more closer to the shoulders
17:40and it swivels right there figure does have a double hinge on the elbow and the
17:44hands do rotate all the way around and then here's the interesting thing about
17:48the legs so the legs normally would just move forward and back and of course you
17:51can move them out if you are familiar as well with the DLX series figures what
17:54they also do as well is that you can pop the joint down maybe not to the extreme
17:59of what I've got right now but if you have it like this you can basically just
18:02compensate it by pushing that back in but I mean you can see how far down that
18:06actually reaches there's the ball joint that basically is going to sit in the
18:09socket of the thigh and again like from there you can easily move the legs out
18:12just basically move them back into where you want to have them but just I mean for
18:16the range that this has on its own there's a lot of stuff going on here
18:19pop that back into place this does rotate up at the top of the thigh by
18:23the way figure does have a double hinge and it's to even just say this is a
18:26double hinge I feel is almost even doing it to service there's a hinge here and
18:30there's a hinge here but it isn't just a case that it hinges in two places
18:34because normally it would just hinge there and then you'd have a secondary
18:36hinge but you can see though if I bring this all the way back how much of a bend
18:42those two hinges work I mean it's basically also as well because he's got
18:45a knee that's that long the joint is here the joint is here but you can move
18:50really with those two things how much more motion you can actually with
18:53spider-man and then that's really now where you can get a lot more going on
18:57here with spider-man unlike maybe other you know figures maybe of this size for
19:01Spidey other the ankles do move back and forth this way there's a ankle rocker
19:05quite generously back and forth and the figure does also have toe articulation
19:09as well again the hard thing with the figure like this is I don't like the
19:14design of spider-man this version of spider-man at least but I gotta say like
19:183-0 has done an amazing job on this release if you are quite familiar with
19:23like the DLX figures we'll just again slide over spider-man here bring back in
19:27Iron Man I know it's not really the Iron Man necessarily from Infinity War this
19:30just happened to be when I grabbed in my collection at the moment but again like
19:33looking at the two spider-man spider-man spider-man over here has some decent
19:37levels of pose Billy not that necessarily Tony Stark was slouching at
19:41all he had quite a lot going for him as well but you're probably not likely
19:44gonna be having him in swinging poses where his legs are kind of in awkward
19:48positions no human body would be able to do spider-man those can certainly do
19:52that and with how much work that again 3-0 is put into this piece not only the
19:56paints not only additional all the additional accessories but just the
20:00articulation alone there's a lot of good stuff you can go on with a figure and
20:04again because these figures also do possess that display stand may have not
20:08worked maybe as well for Tony Stark obviously you could just have Tony Stark
20:10flying around in the air but yeah with Peter Parker though you could do a whole
20:14lot more with the additional possibility has in his body with again the additional
20:17having the display base with him a nice nice release from the folks over at 3-0
20:223-0 does succeed at least in doing one thing with their DLX release of the
20:25iron spider suit and that's changing my mind about the look of the suit in the
20:29film I still don't love it but I like it more now that we've gotten actually as a
20:33figure form me for myself at least when it comes to the iron spider suit I kind
20:37of really just prefer the way it looked in the comics and all red suit with all
20:40the yellow accents in the yellow arms obviously for the sake of the Marvel
20:44studio films they have to complicate the matters and make the suit a little bit
20:47more elaborate but I always thought it made spider-man look a little bit too
20:50busy yet though that we now finally get ourselves a DLX release of him the suit
20:55does look good and it also poses really well too I've got it currently looking
21:00almost as if spider-man is kind of leaning to the side of a wall I mean
21:03it's something that can be effectively pulled off not only with the fact that
21:06he does have as many possibility points as he possesses but also the fact that
21:10he does have an adjustable display stand that attaches it and unfortunately in
21:13all the places on the back of his behind the figure is nicely detailed as you
21:17would expect by now with three zeros releases and of course the figure does
21:20have the options of either being displayed with or without the
21:23mechanical arms on the back of his body I feel like if you're gonna be
21:26displaying though the iron spider you might as well go all out and just
21:29display it with the arms the arms as you saw in this review is just a case of
21:32changing out the back panel on his torso and then just adding those arms
21:35accordingly and each one of them each one of those arms you'll be also happy
21:39to know is all fully articulated with what four individual knuckles for each
21:43of the individual legs though so there's a lot of different display options if
21:47you are one that likes to pose your figure you're gonna have a blast when it
21:50comes to the iron spider when it gets eventually released now speaking of
21:53eventually getting released this guy is slated to release in the second quarter
21:57of 2024 the Avengers infinity saga DLX iron spiders again slated release with
22:02the price point going for $99.99 so he's gonna sit about a penny below $100
22:07which you know again for the fact that this guy is die-cast and the fact he
22:10does have as many accessories as he possesses $100 isn't bad at all
22:14considering really when you look at it other figures of this size that have
22:18done spider-man other companies that have done spider-man of the same size
22:21what are they normally asking for their figures I think of anything I would
22:25spend this $100 or so to get a figure release of him if it means that he's
22:29gonna get as many details and as many paint applications as this guy got not
22:33to mention again all the different ways that you can display him with various
22:36different eyes various different hands and various different webs big thank you
22:40once again to the folks over at three zero that did provide the samples the
22:42brand-new Avengers infinity saga DLX iron spider 112 scale action figure that
22:47we had the chance to have a look at this review let me know down below in the
22:50comments section where you guys feel when it comes to the design of the iron
22:52spider suit do you like it do you dislike it do you wish that it was a
22:55little bit more closer to the comics or do you like the more elaborate design
22:59that they went with when it came to the Marvel Studios release of it also as
