00:09The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is focusing on the need for additional nurses in the country.

00:16This is through the hiring of additional Filipino healthcare professionals.

00:20This was discussed with the help of President Marcos and the Private Sector Advisory Council,

00:25Healthcare Sector Group, and other government agencies.

00:29The hiring of additional nurses is their recommendation to strengthen the healthcare system in the country.

00:34According to PISAC, their program, Clinical Care Associates, will continue to help nursing graduates who did not pass the exam.

00:44The Commission on Higher Education, on the other hand, developed a program that will encourage the public and private sector

00:51to look for nursing underboards to enroll them in the review program to test them.

00:56Review centers are not cheap. It's good for our nurses to increase.

01:02We have a lot of nursing students who, when they fail, they lose hope.

01:07One of the reasons is that they don't have a budget for review centers or they don't know where to review.

01:13So they lose confidence to take board exams.

01:15It will help if the government will provide free reviews and free trainings for the nurses to increase.

01:23Recruitment for the second batch of Clinical Care Associates will continue in May of the 2025 Board Examinations.

01:30Meanwhile, there is a record of increasing number of nursing board passers from 2022 onwards compared to pre-COVID years

01:39due to the recalibrated curriculum.

01:42There is also the Balik Nurse Program and the program of TESDA ChED Credit Transfer.

01:47The Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Migrant Workers are also negotiating with other countries

01:53for a bilateral agreement where the Philippine nursing students will be able to hire.
