00:00Okay, yeah, how are you today? Sorry.
00:11We're feeling amazing. We're very happy to be here to be nominated to be recognized by
00:16our fellow professionals in the music industry. We're very happy to see all those wonderful
00:23talented people represented here from all over the world from all over Europe. And we're
00:27very honored to be included among such talented people.
00:32Yeah, we're really happy to be here. And as you know, it's our first live first live session.
00:39So I was telling to have yelled that we're so glad to do here with this very kind and
00:46gentle and friendly people. It's really amazing for us because it was kind of a big deal.
00:53I mean, and how is the crowd? How is the crowd inside?
00:56Well, the crowd was fucking raunch, actually.
01:09Can you maybe introduce yourselves? You're part of the project, which is genre, genre,
01:14genre. Okay. Can you introduce the project and what your roles are?
01:19Okay, so my role is Alex. Alex is a drummer. Alex is a singer. I'm playing guitar. I was
01:32co directing the music video also with phantom and acting. Yeah, yeah, which is Sam Kaspersky
01:41and Celia Camuto. And we're really glad that we had this opportunity to do that because
01:49of Camille Azat, who led us the opportunity to produce the songs, the first music video,
01:58everything. It's all because of that. So we're really glad about it, that we had this gentle
02:07opportunity to do that. You've also been working with Supir, Supir Records. Supir Records.
02:25Yeah, this is our label. It's run by Etienne, actually. And yeah, our producer Camille,
02:31Camille Azat, she's the one sponsoring us and investing in what we do and believing
02:36in us. So we're really thankful to her. And yeah, Supir, it's a little label. It's just
02:43us and what else? What other band?
02:47So Supir is hired by Camille Azat also, which leads the opportunity to do that. But I want
02:54to tell something if I got the, if it's possible, that we're looking for today, actually everything.
03:01So we're looking for a manager. We're looking for a tour manager, a label manager, and we
03:09want to play. We're just waiting for that.
03:12So you're based here in Berlin?
03:13Hey buddy, we're here. We're in Paris. Just call us. We come. That's all.
03:19Nice. You also won best song.
03:21Yeah, we did.
03:22Can you talk about the song? What's the song about?
03:24Yeah. So I wrote the lyrics to the song. I write the lyrics and Etienne and Alex write
03:30the music. And the song talks about a relationship with yourself. When you listen to the song,
03:37you might believe that it talks about like a toxic couple or a toxic relationship, whereas
03:42actually it talks about a toxic relationship with yourself. Because as a woman and also
03:46as a model, but mostly as a woman, we have an image of ourselves that we prefer to another
03:56One day you just wake up and you feel like you're so kind. You're so fabulous and you're
04:01giving it. And the next day you wake up and you're like, my hair is fucked up. My skin
04:05is fucked. I don't like myself. And it's really about that. It's about chasing that ideal
04:11of a perfect shape, a perfect face, a perfect woman that does not exist. And the message
04:17is really to love yourself as you are and to accept yourself and be gentle with yourself.
04:22That's what it talks about.
04:23Nice.
04:27It's also the first music video you guys have done.
04:37Yeah, it's our first one.
04:39Were there any unexpected things?
04:40Yeah, I wanted to tell that it's amazing for us to be here again because that was our first
04:47erection, our first music video, our first song, our first live session.
04:53First everything.
04:54First everything.
04:55It was, we lost our virginity to the BMBAs.
04:58Exactly. It's all about losing virginity here.
05:02We actually have a song that's called Virginity. So we're going to record that and put that
05:08out as well. It's going to be amazing.
05:09Well, you haven't heard it yet.
05:11But keep an eye out.
05:12Yeah, it's in the works.
05:13There's a lot of special thanks on the video to different people. What did they do to help
05:18bring the video together?
05:21Well, we already talked about Camille, our producer. There's our amazing director, Celia
05:26Piamutu and Sam Kapurski, who are huge industry professionals. Sam has done many videos for
05:33the biggest French artists, and we're very blessed to have him work with us and Celia
05:38as well. They direct amazing movies, amazing short films. And so we're very thankful to
05:44them. And just a lot of people helped us along the way. Our amazing cast, everybody
05:51who participated, everybody who stayed with us. We all lived together for like 10 days
05:56in the countryside. It was like...
05:58Fun.
05:59Yeah, it was a lot of fun. It was just a lot of like community experience. And we're really
06:04grateful to all the cast.
06:05All the farmers from the region, you got to know that they helped us.
06:09Yeah.
06:10And they made it possible.
06:11Yeah, all the farmers from the Creuse region.
06:17And you're also nominated for later in the day for best video.
06:20Yeah, we are.
06:21And this is your first video. You just performed and just won. How are you feeling for the
06:27later nomination? You think you can get it?
06:29We came here and we didn't know that anything could happen. So it was already won for us
06:36like two days ago. And tonight, she had this prize. It means everything for us. I mean,
06:45we couldn't believe it. So now, I mean, it's won for us. We don't give a fuck about it.
06:50Alex, do you think we're going to win?
06:53Of course, yeah.
06:54So Alex thinks we're going to win. So it means we're going to win.
06:57I don't want to win.
06:59Alex is the silent type. So if Alex says something, it's fucking true.
07:03Oh, is it?
07:04Yeah.
07:06And the best music video of the BMVA 2024 is...
07:20Wynonna!
07:25Well, how are you feeling? What are you feeling right now?
07:27So grateful, so overwhelmed, so touched, so emotional. So blessed to have this award,
07:34to have this recognition by such amazing professionals, by such amazing artists.
07:39We're taking it all in. It's very surreal. We're very thankful.
07:43Nice. And you?
07:45I'm actually responding to my mother's text.
07:48Oh.
07:49Sorry. Yeah, because we won. But it feels so natural. I mean...
07:58No, I mean, we won the best song and it was already something incredible.
08:04But to win that, it means like a legitimacy of everything.
08:10Of our story, starting the band and everything. It's incredible.
08:15Alright. What does that mean?
08:18Say something.
08:19No, say something.
08:20You're so busy.
08:21He's very shy.
08:23He's drumming.
08:24He knew this was going to happen.
08:25Yes, he's the mystical drummer.
08:28Is there anything you want to say to people who might be watching?
08:31Yes, if any of the people who like our band are watching,
08:35who want to say thank you so much for supporting us, thank you for listening to our music.
08:39I hope that our message and our lyrics and our chords and our drums,
08:43they touch you and they bring you somewhere in a different dimension.
08:47And they give you love and confidence and just energy.
08:51That's why we're making music, to give you some feelings, to give you some inspiration.
08:56And I hope this is getting through to you.
08:59Nice. Awesome. Well, go celebrate. Have fun.
09:02Thank you so much. Thank you.
09:21Thank you.
