00:00Hi, I'm Glenn Powell and I am Adria Arjona and you're watching Let's Unpack That.
00:04I'm gonna unpack Glenn's bag and Glenn's gonna unpack my bag.
00:10Why is everything...
00:11Because the way you said it.
00:13I'm unpacking Glenn's bag and Glenn's unpacking my bag.
00:17Was that better?
00:19No.
00:23All right, so I'll take one thing out of yours.
00:27Sure.
00:28What is this?
00:31It's my action figure from Andorra.
00:35I think they did a really good job.
00:36Yours is pretty good. Yours is pretty good.
00:38It looks like me.
00:39Yeah, it comes with a separate belt.
00:41It's for my toolkit.
00:42What's the toolkit?
00:48What?
00:49That's my tool belt and then that's the iPad I use.
00:52You're gonna see my action figure.
00:54I know, they're tiny.
00:56Why did they have a big box for that thing?
00:58Don't make fun of my doll.
00:59Do you have a doll?
01:01That's the main thing to say, but I don't know.
01:02Exactamente, so...
01:05It's not about dolls.
01:06I don't choose movies based on the dolls.
01:08Sorry, it's an action figure.
01:10Oh, that is nice.
01:12Do you think it looks like me?
01:13Do you? I actually do find this to look like you.
01:15No, but...
01:15I seem a little stiff, but...
01:18I mean, it's a big deal.
01:19There's not that many Latinas in Star Wars.
01:21I think Rosario...
01:22Rosario? Okay.
01:23Might have been first, but we're not that many.
01:25So this is...
01:27That is badass.
01:27This is pretty cool.
01:28Do we prop these up?
01:29Do we leave these up here?
01:30Oh, you do have a doll.
01:32Do you regret making fun of me now?
01:35Sure, I feel like I've just opened myself up to a lot of ridicule.
01:38I didn't pack this bag.
01:39It's a meme from this premiere that he went to.
01:46Yeah, you can say that.
01:48That's a very sweet thing to ask, though.
01:51I got you.
01:51Yeah.
01:52He wasn't invited to this premiere.
01:55I didn't want to make you look bad.
01:56No, that's sweet.
01:57He flew himself to New York, paid for his own ticket.
02:01Not desperate at all.
02:02Showed up to the premiere and got this picture.
02:06And now this picture is...
02:08What defines me.
02:09What defines Glenn.
02:11And it's kind of hunting him now.
02:13And now you've been compared to Capybara.
02:16I don't know.
02:17I feel like I need to do something with this.
02:19I feel like instead of just taking hits,
02:21I think I need to start a Capybara army.
02:24It's a picture that I never thought would haunt me,
02:25but here we are.
02:26This is what defines me.
02:29You have an action figure.
02:30I have a Capybara.
02:35We have these.
02:36Emerald City was a modern telling of The Wizard of Oz.
02:39I felt like the poppy seeds were like heroine.
02:41Yeah, Vincent D'Onofrio plays...
02:44The Wizard.
02:44The Wizard of Oz.
02:45The Yellow Brick Road was made out of poppy seeds.
02:48So every time I would walk, I would get kind of...
02:51Oh, this is from the University of Texas.
02:58Yes, it is.
02:59Did you try to just give me the answer?
03:02No.
03:02Oh, I thought you were whispering.
03:04I wasn't, no I wasn't.
03:05You just whispered Texas.
03:06I was, I was, what?
03:07I did not.
03:08I think it's just like...
03:11This is from...
03:14I'm such a Texas fan that I just sort of whisper to myself,
03:16I'm like, Texas, yes.
03:17It's a dog toy for his baby.
03:21And his name's Brisket.
03:22I've had Brisket for almost a year.
03:26I adopted him when I was shooting Twisters in Oklahoma.
03:32And I looked at the top of his head.
03:34If you look at the top of his head,
03:35it looks like he's got like meat marbling on his head.
03:38So I thought, you know, some Texas meat.
03:44I'm the meat man.
03:45Call me by the name of my dog, Brisket.
03:47I don't know.
03:48Yeah, yeah, let's get out of that as quickly as possible.
03:50All right.
03:58This girl's gone missing.
03:59True detective.
04:00Oh yeah, good.
04:05Look, I did a $200 million Ray-Ban commercial
04:10called Top Gun Maverick.
04:11I greased up my shirtless bod on a beach with Ray-Bans.
04:17And guess what?
04:18They still don't give me free Ray-Bans.
04:20No way.
04:21Yeah.
04:21All right, I'm kind of confused about this one.
04:24He's wearing goggles and a helmet.
04:28And he looks scared.
04:29Oh, he's skydiving.
04:30Yeah, skydiving.
04:31Yes.
04:31I love to skydive.
04:34And I love to do everything that has a little bit of adrenaline added to it.
04:39Do you have your license to skydive?
04:40No.
04:41How many times have you been?
04:42Seven or eight.
04:42You've been seven or eight times?
04:44Yeah.
04:44I think you get out of your head and I find that to be meditative.
04:47It's allowed me in different phases in my life
04:50to leave certain stuff on the plane.
04:54Like if I didn't get a job or something traumatic happened
04:57or I wanted just like a shift in energy,
04:59I kind of just leave that on the plane.
05:01And then I jump off and I land and I kind of let that go.
05:05You leave physical things on the plane?
05:07No, I just want to let emotional baggage.
05:09I'm like, I just want to let that go.
05:10Can you imagine like a boyfriend or something like that?
05:12That you're like, you're staying on the plane.
05:15This is how we break up and you just jump.
05:17I think we should see other people and then just fall out of.
05:21Have you done it?
05:22Skydiving?
05:22Yeah.
05:23I jumped without anyone with me twice.
05:26Wow, glad.
05:27And I did have an issue.
05:29I had like...
05:31Did you pack it?
05:32The tab.
05:32No, I didn't pack it.
05:33So the tab got like caught or something.
05:35So I'm like going there like, and they go,
05:37okay, it's time to pull your chute.
05:38And I go, okay, cool.
05:39And I'm like, where is it?
05:41You know, and I couldn't find it.
05:42So I was like going there like, you have to like pull and I keep going.
05:46And I'm like, I don't see the thing.
05:48So I keep descending and I finally kind of,
05:50I pulled the tab out and pulled way too low, but I...
05:55This is a terrifying story.
05:56And then when the tab pulled, I also had a tangled chute.
06:00So I had to like shake it out.
06:02I don't think skydiving's for you.
06:05I don't think you should do it again.
06:07I haven't been back since though, but I'd go back.
06:08I don't think you should.
06:10Oh wait, you'd come back with me?
06:11I would go with you.
06:12Okay, let's do it.
06:13Maybe we should skydive into the premiere.
06:15Not now.
06:16Not now.
06:18What is that?
06:19This is a golf ball.
06:21There is a line in Scream Queens, the Ryan Murphy show I did,
06:24where Chad Radwell played this uber douche named Chad Radwell.
06:29He's like, Chanel, you're bumming me out.
06:32You're bumming Boone out.
06:33I'm just trying to have a nice day hitting golf balls at hippies.
06:35Okay, I need you to leave because you're bumming me out
06:37and you're bumming Boone out.
06:40And we're just trying to have a nice day hitting golf balls at hippies.
06:42That was one of my favorite lines.
06:43So anyway, yeah, Chad Radwell.
06:45Yeah.
06:46Great golfer.
06:51Do you know who this is?
06:52Yeah.
06:53Have you ever met him?
06:54No, I haven't.
06:55Hello, Glenn.
06:55I hear you're doing a shoot with the good folks over at InStyle magazine.
06:58I love that magazine.
06:59I hope they didn't hire a wardrobe person because he never wears clothes.
07:03The guy doesn't like to wear clothes.
07:05He likes to show off that body of his all the time.
07:06We were shooting the show Scream Queens and we had a scene, a shower scene,
07:11and of course, Glenn shows up naked to the set, just naked.
07:15And then he goes into the makeup trailer.
07:18I went in there and he had this poor, someone was spraying,
07:20you know, doing like a makeup on his butt.
07:22So his whole body was the same color.
07:25And here's the deal.
07:27I told him the same thing Lawrence Olivier told Dustin Hoffman
07:30when they were making the marathon.
07:31Dustin Hoffman showed up all, he hadn't slept and he was sweaty and tired
07:35and hadn't showered.
07:36And Sir Lawrence Olivier said, what are you doing?
07:38He said, I'm leaving the park.
07:40And I said to Glenn exactly what Sir Lawrence Olivier said to Dustin Hoffman.
07:45When I said to him, I said, dear Glenn, why don't you just act?
07:50Act the muscles, act the pecs, act the biceps.
07:56I love you, Glenn.
07:56Have a great shoot today.
07:57And I'm so happy for you.
07:59We all are.
08:00We've been rooting for you for a long time and you've made it, kid.
08:02And I need a job.
08:03So, you know, call me.
08:07I love that, man.
08:09You do love your butt makeup.
08:11What the f**k does that mean?
08:13You put butt makeup in for him.
08:15Butt makeup?
08:16Oh, no, because our skin was falling off.
08:18That was a whole different thing.
08:19We had a scene in a bathtub in which the props guy, instead of putting bubble bath,
08:25which seems like a pretty logical thing.
08:27Dawn dishwashing soap.
08:28Dawn dishwashing soap in the bubble bath.
08:30And we were in there for hours.
08:32And so we get out and we're kind of like, my skin kind of itches.
08:35And then our skin started coming off in sheets before we started shooting the sex scene.
08:38And completely cracking because Dawn like takes away all the oil from your skin.
08:43So I just bend my knee and my skin started cracking.
08:46And Glenn was so concerned about my skin.
08:49And he was like, are you OK?
08:50You came to the trailer.
08:51You're like, is everything fine?
08:52And then I just looked at Glenn's chest and I was like, Glenn,
08:55have you seen yourself in the mirror?
08:57And then you started freaking out.
08:58You're like, I have it too.
09:01Yeah, they go together.
09:02I watched Father of Pride.
09:04Oh, you did?
09:05I loved it.
09:05We shot Father of the Bride in Miami.
09:10I love Miami.
09:12Adria is one of the most wonderful human beings I've met.
09:16From the moment we met on set on Father of the Bride, she was incredible.
09:20Felt like my own daughter, actually.
09:22And I'm kind of wondering if she liked it too much because she's played a Cuban in Father
09:25of the Bride and now she's playing a Cuban in Los Freakies.
09:28But my question is, Adria, I've heard from several people that you shared some advice
09:34I gave you to them.
09:35What was the best advice I ever gave you?
09:40I love her so much.
09:41That's epic.
09:42So much.
09:43What a legend.
09:44What a legend.
09:45I mean, I wouldn't be here if it weren't to be for Gloria Estefan.
09:48I look up to her so much.
09:49And one night we were all at dinner and I just asked her, I was like, Gloria, what is
09:54a good advice for a Latin young woman in this industry?
09:58And what do you have to tell me?
10:01She just took a sip from her Cosmo and looked at me and said, you just keep that ass up,
10:07girl.
10:08Just keep that ass up.
10:09Just keep that ass up.
10:10She's not wrong.
10:12I'm also going to take that advice from Gloria.
10:14Keep that ass up, Glenn.
10:15Keep that ass up.
10:16You're going to have a good career, kid.
10:19Thanks.
10:20Thanks, pal.
10:22Keep our asses up.
10:23I hope you guys enjoyed us unpacking each other's careers.
10:28You could do better.
10:29Okay.
10:30Hey, y'all.
10:30Thanks for watching.
10:32Hope you enjoyed us unpacking each other's careers.
10:34Don't miss Hitman on Netflix, June 7th.
