00:00 Keep perfecting the lines, the corners, because that's where it's made and lost.
00:05 Just 17.
00:06 Just 17. And when did she start to race?
00:08 Three years ago.
00:10 Yeah, when she was 14.
00:12 I'm going to be going for 390 to race with my daughter.
00:15 So, hopefully in the next season...
00:18 Mother is going to...
00:20 I mean race with her daughter, but daughter is going to overtake her mother.
00:25 Hello guys, I'm Nagamalishwari.
00:26 You saw where I am now, right?
00:28 Our Nizaran can tell you about a great racer.
00:33 He's from the UK.
00:35 Not only does he race, he's a world champion.
00:38 So, let's not talk about him.
00:40 His name is Andrew and his wife is a racer.
00:43 Her name is Sam.
00:46 Another thing is, they have a whole family into racing.
00:51 They have a club called Super Mono.
00:53 They race in that club.
00:55 So, I'll tell you everything.
00:58 You can ask them.
00:59 Hi Andrew.
01:00 Hi, okay.
01:01 So, you have been to India now.
01:03 How is India?
01:04 Very warm, nice weather, good people.
01:08 So, yeah, it's nice.
01:09 So, you are in Nizar's place.
01:11 So, how is it treating you and how are you feeling?
01:15 Yeah, Nizar has been very nice to us.
01:17 I've known Nizar for about 18 months to 2 years now.
01:19 He's helped us with the racing, with engine parts and development.
01:23 So, he's done really well.
01:25 So, we thought we'd come over to India to visit him in his shop and talk about the future.
01:30 Okay, so great to know about that.
01:33 And thanks for giving this opportunity to take an interview.
01:36 So, Andrew, just tell me about your passion.
01:39 First, about your name and where you're from exactly.
01:43 And about your passion as well.
01:45 Okay, well, my name is Andrew Woodison.
01:47 We race with Super Mono GB over in the UK.
01:52 It's a single-cylinder, four-stroke series that specifically caters for single-cylinder, four-strokes from 390 up to whatever CC you want.
02:05 Any modifications, any tuning, anything you want.
02:08 It's an open class.
02:11 I've won the title now three times now.
02:16 Lap record at Donington Park, Cadwell Park.
02:20 My son, Dean, he also races on the same 690 KTM.
02:25 My daughter, she races on the 390 KTM.
02:29 Dean was second in the KLC.
02:31 She was second as well, weren't she?
02:33 She was second in the Clubman class.
02:35 I'm about 32 years old.
02:37 What's your daughter's age?
02:38 My daughter's age, she is 17 now.
02:41 Just 17.
02:42 Just 17.
02:43 And when did she start to race?
02:45 Three years ago.
02:47 When she was 14.
02:49 So, dad and mom, Jean-Sandre were first over there.
02:54 How great to know.
02:55 And she is now a future champion.
02:57 And right now, she has won any cups?
03:00 Yes, she got second place in the championship.
03:03 She also has lap records.
03:05 And this year, she is going to push to get the win for the championship.
03:10 So, yeah.
03:11 And yeah, you talk about your daughter.
03:13 I know your wife is so excited.
03:17 I can see her energetic.
03:20 She is so powerful, charming lady.
03:22 You should tell about your wife.
03:25 What are all the reasons?
03:26 I think she is riding KTM 390, right? Duke 390.
03:30 Originally, I raced Cycler.
03:32 Cycler.
03:33 And it's on a Norton.
03:36 Norton Commando.
03:38 Norton Commando Cycler.
03:40 In a classic club.
03:42 But I decided that I am going to move on to 390 to race with my daughter.
03:49 So, hopefully, in the next season, I will be able to get out there.
03:54 So, right now, the competition is like mother and daughter.
03:58 Yeah.
03:59 Crazy, yeah.
04:01 Yeah.
04:02 And family.
04:03 She is very quick.
04:05 Yeah, she is fast.
04:06 She is fast.
04:07 Okay.
04:08 So, guys, in order to compete with the competitors and fight,
04:13 here, a different scenario.
04:16 Like, mother is going to race with her daughter.
04:20 Daughter is going to overtake her mother.
04:23 It's like crazy.
04:25 Seriously, it's a crazy family.
04:27 Wow.
04:28 So, I wish you all the best.
04:31 And, you know, let's see.
04:33 Let's get some fanservice and videos.
04:35 Yeah.
04:36 So, in the UK, we're asking the Midlands to see you.
04:38 Yeah, of course, definitely.
04:40 More than welcome, anyone.
04:41 Thank you.
04:42 Thank you.
04:43 Okay, so right now, what's your future plans?
04:47 So, this year is to maintain the win for the year again.
04:54 And also, hopefully, my son, Dean, he will be battling with him again this year.
05:00 I'm bringing some new developments over from India.
05:03 Some new performance parts over to the UK.
05:06 And we're going to get the performance parts for the race in the Formula One.
05:12 So, when you say you're taking performance parts from India to the UK,
05:16 so I have a question.
05:18 So, Nizar is a wonderful person.
05:21 So, he built a quarter-mile Audi 350.
05:24 It's a long 25 seconds.
05:25 That is the fastest Audi 350 till now.
05:27 And he's a perfect driver as well.
05:29 He's good at building.
05:31 And, you know, Indian people, most of the people know,
05:34 but you're using his product, which is manufactured in India,
05:39 and you're using it around the UK.
05:42 What do you think?
05:44 In the UK, there are a lot of people who manufacture the performance parts.
05:47 But, you know, I just want to know how that expires,
05:52 and what all the differences you're seeing.
05:55 Yeah, you see, the thing in England,
05:57 the performance market for the KTMs is very limited,
06:02 for the 390 and the 690.
06:04 So, this is where I got in touch with Nizar,
06:07 and he has all the development work,
06:09 all the camshafts, all the valves, head tuning, everything.
06:13 So, this is why we got the relationship working in the first place.
06:16 So, yeah, it's good in India.
06:19 High performance.
06:21 We have just built one engine.
06:23 We're going to do the dyno test when I'm back in the UK,
06:27 with the results of the power.
06:29 Great, great, great, great.
06:31 I mean, I'm using one of the unique builds,
06:35 the bike which you rode.
06:37 So, I'm like, super.
06:39 I mean, what do you feel after riding that, his build?
06:41 Yeah, it was good.
06:43 Lots of pops and bangs and crackles, really nice.
06:46 Just managed to get it into second gear,
06:49 and the torque that came in, it was really, really good.
06:52 And that was the 850.
06:54 Actually, the OEM is 650cc,
06:59 but right now it is 865cc.
07:02 Yeah, yeah.
07:03 So, still, he wanted to make it even better.
07:07 Already, just now I took it, and I was like,
07:10 "Oh my God, I'm like a little scared."
07:13 That's why I did a small spin and dropped it over here.
07:16 So, yeah, he makes beautiful machines.
07:20 Yeah, good, reliable.
07:22 So, just off the chat, okay, so you are in India.
07:26 What do you want, or what do you like, you know?
07:28 What, in India?
07:30 We only got here yesterday, didn't we?
07:32 So, we slept most of the day today, didn't we?
07:35 So, we're just going around, seeing everything,
07:38 and it's busy, really busy.
07:40 Sam likes the tuk-tuks.
07:42 He wants to go in a little tuk-tuk,
07:44 in the little Indian tuk-tuk.
07:46 And then we're going to, maybe in a couple of days,
07:49 we're going to go to Goa.
07:51 Maybe fly out to Goa.
07:52 So, yeah, it's nice.
07:54 I have a small question.
07:56 How old are you?
07:58 I'll be 40 this June.
08:00 40?
08:01 40, yeah.
08:02 Okay.
08:03 I mean, I just have a question.
08:06 You know, here in India, there are a lot of young girls
08:09 who want to become a racing, and, you know,
08:12 want to do something in the automobile, you know,
08:15 two-wheels exactly.
08:17 And a mother of a daughter.
08:19 I've got four children.
08:21 Oh, my God.
08:22 Don't say that all four are intelligent.
08:24 Yeah, two of them.
08:26 Two of them, yeah.
08:28 Oh, so the other two are on the way,
08:30 on process, I can say.
08:32 Okay, great.
08:33 Great to know that.
08:34 So, what, you know, what do you want to tell
08:37 to the Indian girls, like, you know,
08:39 so that, like, you know, here,
08:41 I'll tell you the example.
08:43 Here, certain people, like,
08:46 parents have the, you know, typical mentality,
08:48 like, you know, girls should be like this,
08:50 you shouldn't do those things.
08:53 I mean, for the first time,
08:55 I'm seeing in my life, to be honest,
08:58 mother is racing and daughter is racing.
09:01 See, father and daughter is common,
09:03 but here, mother and, I mean,
09:05 father, mother, and daughter.
09:07 Yeah.
09:08 So, you know.
09:09 See, I don't get scared with the racing.
09:12 I'm more scared if I see them on a bike, on the road.
09:16 So, if they're on the track, I love it.
09:20 And I just think, if you want to do it,
09:22 let them do it, because you only get one way.
09:26 And you can't stop your kids from doing stuff.
09:29 You've got to be able to do it.
09:30 So, if you want to do it, just do it.
09:33 Thank you.
09:35 So, just what you, I mean, just a small clip.
09:39 I mean, you are being a three-time champion.
09:42 So, if you want to give her any small tips,
09:45 which you can provide.
09:47 So...
09:48 Yeah, I mean, the main thing is...
09:50 You've got to enjoy it.
09:51 Just enjoy it and just keep riding.
09:54 There's no amount of experience that you can give,
10:00 apart from actually sitting on the bike and riding it.
10:03 The more you ride it, the more laps you do,
10:06 the better you become.
10:08 And just keep practicing and practicing and practicing.
10:11 And you'll slowly eventually get better.
10:14 That's the only advice, really.
10:16 Just keep perfecting the lines, the corners,
10:20 because that's where it's made and lost.
10:23 The straight bit is easy.
10:24 You just hold it straight.
10:25 It's the corners, it's the braking later.
10:28 Corner exit speed.
10:30 Corner entry and corner exit.
10:32 Focus on that.
10:33 You mean the FX engine, how it's edited?
10:36 Yeah, yeah.
10:37 This is where it's all made and lost.
10:40 Thank you, Andrew.
10:41 Thank you for your time.
10:42 And thank you, Sam.
10:43 Really, I love this week.
10:44 So, yeah.
10:45 Guys, I hope you understood the tips we gave you.
10:49 Winning or losing doesn't matter.
10:51 Just enjoy it and ride safely.
10:53 And girls, I have a question for you.
10:56 Sam said something.
10:57 He said, "I'm not afraid of riding on the road,
11:00 but I'm not afraid of riding on the track."
11:01 So, tell your parents,
11:03 "I'm not riding on the road,
11:04 I'm riding on the track."
11:05 So, again, we have a champion
11:08 and our whole family of racers.
11:10 If you like this information,
