00:00Buck Cooper and Glenn Dixon know better than most how to put up a fight.
00:06Each experiencing life-changing accidents, the amputee fighters have a few things in
00:11common.
00:12Both eager to pick up fighting where they left off, but struggling to find an opponent.
00:17The first thing I've done is looked on Instagram and looked up amputee fighter and Buck came
00:22up.
00:23I've been looking for a fight and asking for fights but I was lucky enough for Glenn, who's
00:27my opponent, to get in contact with me.
00:29Coming together from different ends of the East Coast, the pair will make history tomorrow
00:34night in the nation's first MMA cage fight between two amputees.
00:39Buck Cooper from the New South Wales South Coast lost his leg and the use of his left
00:44arm during a head-on dirt bike accident 11 years ago.
00:48I personally believe I was given a choice whether I wanted to live or not and for my
00:53kids I chose that for sure.
00:55The 36-year-old threw himself into mixed martial arts after his accident and has been
01:00on a gruelling diet and training regime to prepare for the fight.
01:04No days off at all since before Christmas last year.
01:08I'd die for a bit of pizza right now.
01:11With modified rules and four-ounce gloves, he'll be up against Muay Thai fighter Glenn
01:16Dixon.
01:17Glenn was a semi-professional fighter when he was attacked by a bull shark while spear
01:21fishing off Queensland's Hinchinbrook Island.
01:24I remember being attacked quite clearly.
01:28I remember getting to the rock.
01:31I remember getting my calf ripped off again on the same leg from the shark.
01:35I remember seeing the shark.
01:37Seven years on, the 32-year-old gym owner will finally make his professional cage fighting
01:42debut.
01:43But it's not just himself he's fighting for.
01:46This whole event's going to start bringing a whole new game and getting these disabled
01:52people, which there's plenty of in the world, to start looking higher and thinking a bit
01:58more of themselves and believing in themselves a bit more.
02:01The pair will face off in Cairns in front of 1,500 people on Saturday night.
