The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday afternoon, May 27 lowered the tropical cyclone wind signals as Typhoon “Aghon” (international name: Ewiniar) moved farther away from the country’s landmass.
In the 5 p.m. tropical cyclone bulletin, only Signal No. 1 remains raised over the eastern portion of Quirino, the southern portion of Nueva Vizcaya, the eastern portion of Isabela, Aurora, the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands, and the northwestern portion of Camarines Norte including Calaguas Islands.

00:41And that means we will experience rain in many areas here in Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Mimaropa this afternoon until tomorrow morning.
00:52And based on our latest satellite animation, we don't have any cloud clusters, other than this, that could be a low-pressure area or a new storm in the next few days.
01:05This is the latest track of the storm regarding Typhoon Agon.
01:09Yesterday morning, as you can see, it only stayed in the area of Quezon Province, its center, because this is the time when it will have a recurve.
01:20That's why the rain that fell in Calabarzon area, especially in Quezon, increased.
01:25And then afterwards, it moved northeastward, even though it was slow, it passed through Polilio Island in Quezon,
01:32until it reached the eastern side, the coastal waters of Aurora.
01:37And tomorrow morning, we expect that it will be further.
01:41300 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
01:44Tomorrow afternoon, it will reach around 500 kilometers east of Batanes.
01:49And it will be further, Wednesday afternoon, more than 1,000 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon.
01:57And afterwards, it will leave the area of responsibility.
02:01For the next two days, it will remain as a typhoon, that is between 140 to 155 kilometers per hour.

02:52Makonakon, Ilagan, Benito Sullivan, Agana, Angadanan, Naguilian, Kawayan, Palanan, and Dinapique.
03:00For the whole of Aurora, signal number one.
03:02Also in the northern portion of Quezon, General Nacar, Infanta, Real, and the whole of Impolilio Islands.
03:08And also signal number one in the northwestern portion of Camarines Norte, Vincennes, Paracale,
03:14Jose Panganiban, and Kapalonga, as Calaguas Islands.
03:18So these are the places where the wind is blowing, even though it is not as strong as the past few days.
03:26What are we hoping for? We have strong winds, especially in coastal and mountainous or upland areas in the next few hours.
03:36But while this storm is moving away, it may decrease and possibly by tomorrow we will no longer have tropical cyclone wind signals.
03:45When it comes to rain, we are still hoping for rain in the next few days
03:50due to the effect of the southwesterly wind flow enhanced by this storm.
03:54We still have some dangerous rain, 50-100 mm, until tomorrow.
03:59And tonight, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, and Negros Occidental.
04:07While tomorrow, May 28, we still have hope for rain.
04:12Over Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, and Western Visayas.
04:15So mostly on the western side of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
04:19For Metro Manila, as well as the majority of Luzon, we will still experience scattered rain,
04:25especially from afternoon to night in the next few days.
04:28The southwest wind flow is also affected, so the chances of rain are the highest here in Sambales, Bataan, Ilocos Region,
04:35Cavite, Batangas, Metro Manila, and in the areas on the western side of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
04:44We will continue to remind our countrymen to be careful of possible floods.
04:50Flooding of our rivers is still possible due to continuous rains,
04:54and landslides are still present, especially in mountainous areas.
05:02As for our gale warning, due to flooding, there are still flooded areas up to 4.5 meters.
05:10Here in the eastern seaboard of Cagayan, Isabela, Baybay ng Aurora, and Northern Quezon, as well as the Polilio Islands,
05:18it is still dangerous to sail on the aforementioned seaboards,
05:22and we hope that while the flooding continues, our gale warning may also disappear by tomorrow.
05:30Even though, we still have flooded areas by tomorrow in many areas of Luzon.
05:36To sum it up, we expect that the storm will move northeastward for the next two days,
05:44while it is here in the Philippine Sea, until it leaves our area of responsibility by Wednesday afternoon.
05:52It may weaken as it moves out, but for the next two days, it will remain in a typhoon at 140 kmph,
06:00but it will move to an area where the sea is cold, so it may weaken again as a severe tropical storm.

06:52Actually, this is our dam as of today, but this was at 8 a.m. earlier.
07:00So, we can notice, first, this is the Angat Dam,
07:03this is one of the affected areas by the floods brought by the typhoon.
07:10Its present elevation as of 8 a.m. today is 179.79,
07:16it came from 178.86 yesterday, so it has an elevation of almost 1 meter, 0.93 meters.
07:25So, we expect that the next day, tomorrow, or the next two days,
07:30its elevation will still be continuous, but it will not be this much.
07:36The rainwater from the mountains is slowly going down to the reservoir, this is the Angat Dam.
07:44And Ipulamesa, it also has an elevation, we can notice it here.
07:49And this is the Ambuklao-Binga-San Roque, this is in the north of Northern Luzon.
07:54So, we noticed that the Ambuklao generated, it went down by 0.42,
08:02and went to Binga, it was flooded by Binga.
08:07So, Binga rose by 1.12 meters,
08:11then, they were a bit close, and San Roque is negative,
08:17this is the lowest of the three dams, the Cascades Dam, or series of dams.
