00:00Asian hornets, to give you an example, if there was a nest here it could take out this entire farm
00:05of bees and obviously it would impact on production of honey for example. But the other
00:11main concern with the Asian hornet, which comes over from Asia as the name suggests,
00:15is that it feeds on other insects and pollinators. Now if it takes out all the pollinators, and we've
00:21got some picture here of it killing a wasp, if it takes out the pollinators it will put huge
00:28pressures on our food chain. Essentially experts are estimating it will make farmers have to
00:35produce pollinators, employ people to go out and do manual pollination as it were, to create food,
00:42to have the food that we have on our table, to have all the crops that we take for granted. So
00:48that is the huge concern and it could cost an estimated two billion pounds to employ all those
00:54peoples and to go and do the jobs that bees and other pollinators do.
