Transcript
00:00 I'm here at the Maidstone Grammar School for Girls where an epic showdown between Kent Invicta and the Essex Rebels volleyball team is taking place.
00:06 However, it's all in the name of charity for the Heart for Kent Hospice Foundation. Let's take a look.
00:11 As the crowd were flooding in, the players began taking their places on the court.
00:16 Kent in the pink and Essex in the black, the Invicta side were the underdogs playing three divisions lower than their Super League opponents.

00:44 Despite losing all three sets, Kent were pleased with how the whole day had gone.
00:49 Absolutely fantastic. I think they played, they really stepped up. We haven't come across opposition that strong before.
00:54 So they knew that they were up against something that was going to be new and going to be a bit more threatening than previously.
00:59 It's a fantastic experience. It's not every day that a Division 3 team gets to play against a Super League team, especially one that finished top three.
01:07 Really, really fun, you know, fantastic team to play against. Overall, just a great experience.
01:13 Money raised from the day is going to the Heart of Kent Hospice as the charity is preparing to host a Shaun the Sheep art show in Maidstone this summer.
01:20 It's great, especially because Heart of Kent is a nice charity, helping out with terminal patients and whatnot.
01:26 It's quite close to home. So it's nice being able to help raise that money and provide some entertainment while we're doing it and obviously get to play some great volleyball.
01:33 Back on the court, I spoke to some of the opposition who played the top level of the sport about how they found the day.
01:39 It was a great time. Everyone looked excited to be here. Even the fans really loved to see the excitement coming from them. It was awesome.
01:46 It's always nice to win a match. Today's a charity event, so I think the charities are the winners.
01:52 We were just able to provide a bit of entertainment for the crowd to come along and enjoy themselves.
01:58 Although Kent and Victor could not grab the win, they did win in the end by doing this for charity.
02:02 As you can see, they had a massive turnout with loads of supporters.
