00:00I'm talking to Dave Bromhead, who runs the Sheffield Space Centre.
00:03Dave, tell me about the event that you've just had this weekend, Free Comic Day.
00:07Yeah, every year the comics industry do what they call Free Comic Book Day,
00:12where we give lots of free comics away on the day.
00:17It's always the first Saturday in May, so you've just missed the one this year,
00:22but next year will be, again, the first Saturday in May.
00:25It's free for anybody to come along, just pick up the number of comics you want,
00:29it's like introducing new characters, new storylines.
00:35And how did it go this year?
00:37Quite well, we were quite busy.
00:39Well, it's always our busiest day of the year, every year, so it went well this year as well.
00:46How long have you been here?
00:48Just over 45 years now.
00:50On the wick we've been here since 1986, but we started off down on London Road, Healy Bottom.
00:55And have you still got a dedicated band of followers?
00:59Oh yeah, we've got people that came in from the first day we were owned, I think, back there.
01:04So we've got a lot of people here that's been here for 40 years or more,
01:07and quite often their sons have been coming,
01:09and quite often their grandsons have been coming here now as well.
