We went to Piccolino, one of Sheffield's most booked restaurants
Transcript
00:00Piccolino, an Italian at Millennium Square in Sheffield, was recently revealed as one
00:05of Open Table's most booked restaurants for October in South Yorkshire.
00:10It's recently undergone a renovation with a new cocktail bar and refreshed interiors
00:15and here I am at my table in the Conservatory area, which is opposite the Winter Gardens.
00:20You can see all of those plants and they are all real, which is quite unusual for a restaurant.
00:25As a starter I got this bruschetta with butternut squash and beretta cream and it was really
00:31nice but you can see that the sourdough is a little bit tough, which you wouldn't really
00:35expect for something that's almost £10.
00:37This was the bruschetta classica, which my friend was a little bit disappointed with,
00:41it just lacked a little bit of oomph.
00:43We found ourselves waiting a little bit for our meals but we did do some people watching.
00:47I got this salad for my main, which was just over £15, which I do think was quite expensive
00:52considering it's just tomatoes, a bit of mozzarella and avocado.
00:56We also forgot to put the basil on top but it was refreshing, you could tell it was all
01:01fresh ingredients and I felt healthy when I left.
01:04My friend got the prawn linguine, which did look really tasty, he said it was really fresh
01:08and it was all hot.
01:10As you can see we didn't leave a crumb and the bill came to £64 with service charge.
