00:00An absolute lunchtime staple for many, the humble sandwich is beloved. However,
00:06are you bored of the same old fillings? Well I am on a mission to find the
00:13tastiest sandwiches in Liverpool and first up I am going to Derek's. They're
00:18known for their New York style butties. I went for the Rubenstein which is beef
00:25pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, dill pickles and mustard sauce. This is
00:31served on a challah knot and my word this was delicious. Very generously
00:37filled, some pepper came through from the pastrami, that mustard sauce and
00:43sauerkraut cut through the fattiness of the meat and it was absolutely delicious.
00:50So I've come to the car for this one because we don't always have time to sit
00:55down and enjoy a nice lunch somewhere. Often we're behind our desks or like me
01:01grabbing out. I've got the Philly cheesesteak bagel from The Bagelry here.
01:07I've got it on an onion bagel and that was a recommendation from one of the lovely
01:11staff member in there. Okay this one is gonna be really tricky to eat and
01:15actually it's fallen apart. I don't want to get this everywhere but it's all
01:19about the taste test anyway. But it looks delicious anyway. It's delicious. It
01:27tastes really nice. There's a really nice smokiness. Wow. My next stop was Cartaccio
01:37on Egbeth Road. Now it's a small freshly baked pizza pocket that is stuffed to
01:43order with traditional Italian dishes. I went for the meatballs in tomato sauce.
01:50Really flavourful. The sauce was super rich. It wasn't too big making it the
01:57perfect lunchtime bite.
