00:18 It's hard to believe we've been going for 10 years and there's some 10 year old children running around out there
00:23 that we actually were involved in their birth.
00:26 We absolutely love seeing families and we had a five year reunion which meant that we did a lot of talking,
00:33 a lot of cuddling with babies. It's quite exhausting and everybody wants to meet you and be with you.
00:38 Yeah, it's a really beautiful opportunity to see midwife again and you know,
00:44 being reconnected with community and people maybe that you knew when your baby was small
00:49 and it's just so joyful for us to see the families that we have been involved in, you know, really flourishing.

00:56 I've really liked having the community and the continuity throughout all of my births.

01:04 Yeah, I was on leave.
01:06 Yeah, it's great to have the same midwife at every appointment, someone who knows your story
01:11 and then a familiar face if all goes out on the day of the birth.

01:16 Everyone else is very nice.

01:19 Beautiful.
01:20 Oh, I was going to say, I've always loved the birth centre.
01:22 Maybe I don't like being on call because maybe it's coming in the middle of the night.
01:26 But no, it's been lovely.
01:27 Like I've got lots of, I've had several mums having three babies with me
01:31 and I've got my first mum coming back to have a fourth baby with me.
01:34 Wow.
01:35 And yeah, it's a lovely team in midwife.
01:37 It's growing bigger and I think it's a great joy for midwives to see so many beautiful water births and natural births
01:45 and women trust their bodies, believe in themselves and be able to birth in a non-medicalised environment
01:52 still with backup of a hospital.
01:55 So yeah, the birth centre I think is perfect.
01:58 The rooms are nice, like big baths.
02:02 Yeah, and you do witness lots of women, even with long arduous labours, who do amazing.
02:08 And it's funny when we see them coming back to have more babies or coming back to physio
02:13 or sometimes they're copying and seeing.
02:15 So everyone in the birth centre is really looking forward to the team at New Year's Birthday Party
02:20 because hopefully lots of returning mums will come and we'll get to see families
02:25 and we'll get to see like seven-year-olds and ten-year-olds and yeah.
