00:09 Here we are with Warrnambool Acting Sergeant Ben Timpson. He's in charge of the May races police operation.
00:17 Ben, there's a few things going on, particularly there'll be a focus on anti-social behaviour.
00:23 Yeah, so there'll be zero tolerance on any anti-social behaviour. There'll be a few units in town, local and external.
00:30 Statewide resourcing has been coming down as well and don't expect any favours.
00:36 Righty-o, so that sounds pretty serious. Now in terms of travelling to and from, I understand there's going to be some transit police on the trains as well.
00:44 Yeah, so police will be out in force on the roads and trains, so if you're using any of the highways, byways or rails to come and go, make sure you do so appropriately.
00:54 And some traffic management in place around the racetrack?
00:58 Yes, there'll be local road closures around the course, mainly Grafton, Moor Streets and Tozer Road where the public transport hub for the racecourse will be.
01:09 And then obviously with the races using those Tozers and Moor Streets.
01:13 And a focus after the races at licensed premises?
01:17 Yeah, so we aim for everyone to come to town, enjoy their time in town and what the region has to offer, food, wine, festivities.
01:24 Make sure you get home safely and come back again next year.
