00:17 the heat cramps or heat exhaustion, possibly a heat stroke. 44 degree celsius is the possible heat index on Infanta Quezon and Puerto Princesa and Aburlan in Palawan. 42 and 43 degree celsius is the heat index on Northern and Southern Luzon and Visayas.

00:43 Here in Metro Manila, the heat is between 40 and 41 degree celsius, particularly in Quezon City and Pasay.

00:50 Five dams in Luzon have continuously lowered the water level in the past 24 hours.

00:57 These include Angat, Ipo, Lamesa, Ambuklao and San Roque.

01:02 Even though it is hot in many parts of the country, some parts of Mindanao will be affected by the trough or extension of a low pressure area.

01:12 It is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility and may be affected in the next few hours.

01:17 Meanwhile, the heat of the weather in the Philippines is still rising.

01:34 Sir, how long will it last? Will it reach the danger level, the heat index that is so hot in different parts of the country, 42 to 45?

01:45 Yes, we expect it to persist until the month of May.

01:51 So it can still rise and there is a possibility that it will reach the extreme danger.

01:56 It is possible that it will reach 52 degree celsius, heat index and above.

02:03 Okay.

02:04 So 52, how hot is it for our countrymen and what places can experience this heat index?

02:14 It is possible. We are not certain that it will happen but we are saying that it is possible, especially in places that have lower heat index.

02:26 There are factors that categorize them as having a higher heat index. For example, their elevation is low or they are near bodies of water, coastal areas and others.

02:36 So this is the Dagupan Pangasinan, Apari, we also have in Eastern Visayas and Tuguegarao, especially in Tuguegarao.

02:45 Sir, I will just confirm, is El Nino officially over?

02:51 It is continuously weakening, meaning that our El Nino signals are weakening.

02:56 But that doesn't mean that it will suddenly disappear because the drier conditions that persist until now can continue until next month.

03:05 Before we go to neutral to possibly La Nina, we will be in La Nina Watch.
