00:00 So let's talk first, let's go to Texas and K-Props are the way to go here, but you think
00:08 that Cody Bradford could be an underrated arm for a stream?
00:11 Well, look, he certainly has been.
00:13 I think everybody was skeptical after that first start, but now we're three starts into
00:16 the year.
00:17 Cody Bradford, 19 innings, he's given up just three earned runs over those three starts,
00:21 17 strikeouts, just two walks.
00:23 Is he this good?
00:24 Probably not.
00:25 But a 1-4-0 RRA and a .62 whip, I mean, those are numbers that you just can't ignore now.
00:29 So, he's rostered in a fair amount of leagues, he's probably available in about 25% or so.
00:34 So if he's still available, pick him up.
00:35 But I think even the person that picked him up probably isn't thinking, "All right, Cody
00:38 Bradford is not really a guy that I'm super excited about every week or I'm waiting for
00:42 the other shoe to drop," and that's all fair.
00:44 But I think if you look a little deeper into this Texas rotation, look, you're not going
00:47 to get Max Scherzer back probably till somewhere around June 1st.
00:50 Now, knowing Max Scherzer, it's probably gonna be a little earlier than that because the
00:52 guy's an animal and that's just who he is.
00:54 So I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him before Memorial Day.
00:58 Giovaldi's pitched really well, John Gray's pitched really well, but Dane Dunning, Andrew
01:02 Heaney, look, there's opportunity where you could see either more injuries creeping up
01:05 at some point or performance being an issue for somebody else.
01:09 And if Bradford just continues to stay on track with what he's doing right now, and
01:14 of course that 1-4 ERA is going to regress.
01:16 It's not going to be there.
01:17 In fact, you can even wait for maybe a start where he's just sort of human and then pounce
01:21 on it.
01:22 But that's a pitcher that might actually stick around in the rotation longer than people
01:25 realize.
01:26 He was the fifth starter.
01:27 It was a bit of a question mark going into spring who that fifth guy was going to be
01:31 because of the injuries.
01:33 But Texas got off to a good start here.
01:34 Offensively, it's a team that's going to give you a good run support.
01:37 You don't have to worry about that.
01:38 Yeah, they lost Josh Young, but still they have a lot of good bats in that lineup.
01:41 The Seagers, the Simeons, Wyatt Langford will hit.
01:44 Evan Carter starting to pick things up a little bit.
01:45 So I think Cody Bradford is one of the names that we could throw out there and say, if
01:50 he's available in your shallow league, pick him up.
01:52 If he is available via trade, let's say you have a surplus of hitting.
01:56 Everybody needs an outfielder.
01:57 You've got extra bats to spare.
01:59 That's the kind of trade you make right now.
02:01 And see if Cody Bradford's a guy that ends up having a nice surprise season, not just
02:05 a nice surprise April.
02:06 And that's one of the guys that you could put on that list of guys that can help you
02:10 if you've been part of this incredible rash of pitching injuries.
02:13 And it has been really tough.
02:15 Like if you have survived this right now, I mean, your luck is very good because I feel
02:20 like this pitching injury bug has hit just about everybody's fantasy teams on some levels.
02:26 So if you are still healthy, that's great.
02:28 But chances are you're not.
02:29 And chances are a guy like Bradford can help you out.
