A British start-up wanted to turning fictional superpowers into reality - so invented an invisibility shield.
The company, London-based Invisibility Shield Co., have now launched a 6ft tall 'megashield', as well as portable roll-up versions which can hide people and objects completely from view in broad daylight.
The team, who launched a Kickstarter funder on Tuesday (26 Mar), say they spent four years developing and testing optical cloaking technology to create their latest shields.

00:00 Have you ever dreamed of having a superpower?
00:06 We have, and we've been working to turn that dream into a reality.
00:13 Introducing our second generation invisibility shields.
00:18 They're bigger, lighter, and more powerful than ever.
00:23 We've created three sizes, the mini, the full size, and the mega shield.
00:34 The largest shield we've ever built, which stands over six feet tall, enabling you to
00:41 hide people, objects, and well, just about anything.
00:47 Setting up the shields takes a matter of minutes, and when you're finished, they can pack down
00:53 to a fraction of their assembled size in these dedicated carry cases.
01:00 Our new shields project their surroundings with amazing clarity, whilst ergonomic grips
01:10 help keep you hidden when moving.
01:18 We took everything we learned from crowdfunding and shipping thousands of first generation
01:23 shields in 2022, and we used it to develop the best products we've ever created.
01:29 Thank you for giving us the opportunity to turn our dreams into reality and share our
01:35 second generation shields with you.
