This veggie-loaded spaghetti offers all the comfort with less carbs.

00:00 Spaghetti and meatballs, it's the ultimate comfort dish.
00:03 But let's be honest, it's not exactly diet.
00:05 I'm gonna show you how to lighten it up
00:07 by swapping out the meats and sneaking in some extra veggies.
00:11 I'm using turkey meat.
00:12 I'm gonna do half dark ground meat
00:15 and half ground turkey breast, which is really lean.
00:19 I add to it one egg, frozen spinach,
00:23 a little bit of Parmesan, breadcrumbs, and water.
00:28 This is what's going to help keep it really moist.
00:31 I'm using my favorite jar of marinara sauce.
00:35 But the other jar, I'm actually going to use a sauce
00:37 that has butternut, squash, and pumpkin in it.
00:42 Makes it even healthier.
00:45 Just roll them into balls and pop them in the sauce.
00:49 Here's how I make the zucchini noodles, or zoodles.
00:52 I just use a zucchini and a spiralizer.
00:56 And look, it looks just like pasta.
01:00 So I give the zucchini noodles a quick saute.
01:04 And I like to add some brown rice noodles,
01:08 just so it's not all zucchini.
01:10 Still makes you feel like you're eating pasta.
