00:00 Hello, welcome to Project Polar 2. Today is International Polar Bear Day.
00:06 We celebrate it every year. This is when mum and cubs out in the wild are usually snuggled up inside their dens.
00:12 A couple of years ago we welcomed our own mum and her three cubs.
00:16 We have Flo, Tala, Indy and Yuma.
00:19 Tala has stayed with her mum over here at Project 2.
00:23 It's often seen playing with kayaks and other toys that we have for her.
00:27 Indy and Yuma have moved over to Project 1 with our big boys.
00:31 Our charity, the Wildlife Foundation, supports Polar Bears International,
00:35 whose mission is to protect the wild polar bears.
00:39 This year we are celebrating 10 years being an Arctic Ambassador for Polar Bears International.
00:45 The reduction in sea ice is causing our polar bears to have to swim for further and for longer.
00:50 This is reducing their fat stores and it's making it harder for them
00:54 and they're less likely to survive due to this lack of sea ice.
00:58 If you would like a chance to meet our polar bears and help the polar bears in the wild,
01:02 you can donate to the charity, the Wildlife Foundation.
