The seven-month-old cub, Auckley, has made her first public appearance at the Doncaster-based wildlife park. She curiously explored the nature reserve and scaled the giant climbing frames.

Amur leopards are critically endangered with less than 100 surviving in the wild and births in captivity are also rare. Auckley was the only surviving cub of her species born in Europe last year, so her birth has been a major milestone in the international breeding programme.

She has been cared for by her mother Kristen and park rangers who monitored her health and progress before she was allowed to explore the main reserve of Leopard Heights.
