00:00 I'm curious about your own travel guides to Glasgow to give us some highlights of places that you love,
00:07 places you always return to if you've been away for a while, places that are important for your career or your life.
00:12 Martin, do you want to give us...
00:14 Celtic Park.
00:15 [laughter]
00:16 What do you like? I really... I start my new job filming in Glasgow in a couple of weeks and I like...
00:27 I think Finistoun's a great wee part of town now, you know, whereas younger I would never have...
00:32 I would just come in central, get a knock back from everywhere and then end up jumping jacks.
00:36 That would have been where I would have been, but now I think Finistoun's a cracking wee bit of town.
00:40 I've filmed a couple of times where I tend to stay in that area because there's some great eating, you know,
00:45 and I like that kind of wee city vibe where there's nice cafes and you can have a wander and stuff.
00:50 So I really... anybody who's coming in, I really recommend Finistoun for a wander.
00:54 What's your Glasgow film?
00:55 I just love the West End, you know, Highland area for me.
00:58 If I lived in Glasgow again, that's definitely where I'd want to be.
01:03 But I think there's a real kind of renaissance of the merchant city again, you know.
01:07 There seems to be a lot of big brands, new brands coming into the city, good kind of food and drink scene, new hotels.
01:15 There's a life there again. I think Glasgow's missed that in the last kind of 10 years.
01:19 Edinburgh has kind of taken over slightly with the retail side, but there seems to be this new buzz around the city.
01:25 And I think that can only be brilliant for the city centre, which I think has been sadly missed
01:30 because I think what happened to, you know, Sockeye Hall Street was a real kind of shame with the fires that happened there.
01:36 And now it seems to kind of been starting to build up again, which is brilliant.
