00:00 Good morning everyone, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press just bringing you some of our headlines this morning, Monday February the 19th, what's been doing well on our socials.
00:10 Unsurprisingly, following Doncaster Rovers visit to Grimsby Town at the weekend and their 5-1 victory, absolutely amazing stuff.
00:20 It's been sport that's dominated most of the headlines and created most of the traffic on our sites over the last couple of days.
00:30 Some great stories there from our Rovers reporter, Rika Charlesworth. If you're into your footy, you need to give him a follow on X.
00:41 He'll bring the insights, player ratings, match reports, that sort of thing. There's some really good reading out there about that.
00:52 Then also over the weekend, a couple of retro pieces have done well. We've taken a look back at, some of you remember it, I certainly do, Charisma Nightclub.
01:05 It was a great club back in its day. We've got a video of the inside of what it looks like.
01:12 Somebody got a visit to go inside and take a look when the doors had closed. Quite eerie really, if you try to compare it to what it used to look like.
01:23 It was very, very interesting. We've also got a selection of photographs taken from the 80s and 90s, flashback photographs from our archive, which people find very interesting.
01:35 So if you're into your retro and your history, take a look at those stories as well. They've been doing well all over the weekend for us.
01:43 And then finally, a piece that was put out before the weekend actually, that's still doing very, very well.
01:48 Great news at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. They've got a new calf, or pup calf, at the animal sanctuary there.
02:00 It's a giant otter. It's a baby giant otter, so still very, very small.
02:07 It was born in November, I believe, but it's been nurtured by its mum and it's taken its first steps out of hiding, out into the wildlife park for visitors to go and see.
02:21 It's absolutely adorable. So we've got a video of that. We've also got a picture and some information about the animals as well.
02:31 They are a very endangered species, so it's wonderful news that we've got another one that's been born here in Doncaster.
02:38 So you can pick that story up and all the rest on our website today. Also, of course, we'll keep you updated on Facebook and X as the day goes on.
02:47 And I hope you have a fantastic Monday.
