Punters are flocking to a pub which is selling pints for as little as £2.30 - the average price 15 years ago - making it possibly Britain's cheapest boozer. The Waggon and Horses in Oldbury, West Mids., is selling ALL beers, ciders and ales for £2.90 and under to encourage customers to drink in traditional local pubs.

00:10 Everybody's struggling with the cost of living, including all the small pubs.
00:18 And it's just like to give something back and a bit of support to everybody and
00:23 just try new things and get more people in.
00:26 And all the prices to get more customers in and
00:31 build the pub up and the community back together.
00:35 Everywhere has been so quiet and
00:37 not everybody can afford to come out and do the socializing.
00:40 But with these prices, it'll bring more people in and
00:43 they'll be able to do more socializing, it'll keep it going.
00:45 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:55 >> What's the reaction from the community been like?
01:04 >> They're more really pleased with it, obviously, cuz of the prices.
01:07 There's few more people started coming in and they still build it all back up again.
01:11 Things that can afford to come out again now have started to come out.
01:14 We usually get a full room and everybody knows everybody, and
01:17 then we'll start to get back together again now.
01:20 [BLANK_AUDIO]
01:30 Everybody's really curious as to why and how long it's gonna last.
01:33 And it's like for the foreseeable, if it works out and
01:35 everybody's happy with it and we can get on with it, then we'll just carry it on.
01:39 If it carries on and everything works out and everybody's happy with it,
01:43 it'll probably stay as it is anyway.
01:44 So we ain't gotta set date to put all the prices back up again.
01:48 The more people that come in the pub, the longer we can carry on doing it.
