00:03 And I don't know what to do with him. So I came to the mountains to just have a good time

00:10 and clear my mind. And I find this random dog, no owner around, just my car, nobody else.

00:18 And after I find the dog, come here. After I find the dog, two seconds later,

00:23 this little thing walks out. I'm going to take him to the shelter, but like,

00:29 but this little guy is like two weeks old. I don't see anybody around. There's no other

00:33 cars. It's just me. I don't know what to do. I've never really had animals like that. So

00:37 it was kind of just a shock. And there's a pup dog around here.

00:40 What are you doing out here? I knew the dog was in bad condition. I knew her hair wasn't supposed

00:46 to be like that. So I kind of figured I have to do the right thing. She needs help. I took him home

00:51 and I knew first I needed to give him baths. They just needed to decompress and just let them rest

00:57 until the Humane Society opened. The dog was just happy to be there. The cat was really just tired.

01:04 Got both the kids to bed. As far as the cat, she's still in foster care right now.

01:09 I think I'm going to adopt the dog. When we got to the Humane Society,

01:15 they checked for microchips. So they reached out to our owners and no word was given back.

01:20 I'm not trying to be the stepfather. I'm trying to be the father that stepped up.

01:24 So one, it's a girl. And two, I got her. So I just got my girl. I decided to name her Angel.

01:32 And I'm going to run errands to go get her stuff for the house. We just got her home and she seems

01:37 to still like the couch for some reason. As soon as I brought her home from the Humane Society,

01:41 she pretty much just decompressed. I believe she needed to rest. I don't believe she got

01:48 knee when she was up there. After the week went by, her character came out finally.

01:56 For the most part, it's fairly easy to balance my student and athlete life with my dog dad life.

02:07 My mornings are always hectic with football. I wake up about six. I take her out about 6.15.

02:16 Started meeting seven and from seven to about 11, I got weights, practice, meetings all through that

02:23 time. After that, I immediately come home, spend about an hour or two with her. What's up my miss?

02:44 dog with me. That's my daughter. My favorite thing to do with her for sure is dance. She just bops

02:50 with me. I'm shaking my hair and everything and she's pretty much doing the same with her ears.

02:54 So it's real fun. We're gonna put it on you my miss. Now the world loves her. I guess a true

03:04 character outside of just being an athlete. It's definitely cool. She sparked a new outlet in me.
