00:07 blockbuster rewind Clark Griswold.
00:11 I'd like to thank the folks over at Funko that did provide not one but two
00:28 Clark Griswold's that we could open up. Inside this collector's case is a
00:32 collectible figure of Clark Griswold from National Lampoon's Christmas
00:36 vacation. A go-to Christmas classic I always have to watch every single year.
00:40 Now there is, above and beyond the fact that the clamshell case looks identical
00:45 to one that you would find at Blockbuster back in the day, but on the
00:48 back of it also as well there's the chance to find the chase. Funny enough
00:52 that they call this chase and it's being Chevy Chase. I'm sure that was
00:55 intentional. It says the figure inside is basically going to be this one but then
00:59 in question marks it's going to be this one as well. So I'm not sure, I'm hoping,
01:04 if it happened to be the case that they just happen to have sent me both the
01:07 regular one and the chase variants. If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to
01:11 the carpet I wouldn't be more surprised. With that being said let's go ahead and
01:15 open this up. Again these are still kept inside of there of course shrink wrap.
01:19 I'm just gonna reach off to the side and grab my knife McCutcheons and carefully
01:23 cut. Which one do we want to cut first? I'm just gonna put these down. I'm gonna
01:27 choose this one only simply just because again this one's closer to this one. I
01:30 kind of think of this as first and second. I hope though, I hope we are gonna be
01:34 getting chase variants. I can't believe they called it chase Chevy Chase. Anyways
01:38 let's rip open the plastic. Have you guys been collecting any of these Blockbuster
01:43 rewind figures from Funko? Let me know down below in the comment section. But
01:46 here's the first case. Let's open it up and inside, oh hold on a second, inside we
01:52 already have ourselves the chase. Specifically this fact that Clark
01:55 Griswold is sporting himself. You know all the lights, the many, how many
02:00 thousands of lights he does put on top of his house. You can see he's got the
02:03 lights there. He's trying to plug things in. Doesn't succeed the first
02:07 couple of times until of course we realize the light switches in what was
02:10 in the garage in the laundry room. That's a fun-looking figure. It doesn't seem to
02:14 have any postability whatsoever. He's got a smile on his face right now. I'm sure
02:17 that smile will be turned upside down in a moment when he realizes he just can't
02:21 pull this off. Did he check every single light bulb? I'm sure he did. Spinning
02:25 around on the back, it's nicely painted for what it is. Again you've got all the
02:29 individual lights, both yellow, blue, green, all nicely painted and colored.
02:33 There's no pay or anything on the underside of his feet. There's again no
02:36 articulation that I can see, but again we at least got ourselves the chase. Let's
02:41 now look at - funny enough actually Funko sent over two variants of
02:45 Chevy Chase. Let's open up the next one here. We're gonna cut the plastic on the
02:49 side and the neat thing about these, even though I'm gonna be putting them on
02:53 display loose like this, I might very well just put the cases kind of behind
02:56 the figures. So if I put them on the mantle like this or in my office, I might
02:59 have to figure in the front of it and then put the clamshell case behind it. I
03:02 mean points by the way also to Funko for the fact that he found a clever way of
03:06 marketing these, not simply just having the character sitting inside of a blind
03:09 box, but actually giving us one that looks like an old VHS tape. I mean even
03:13 on the side it says Blockbuster Rewind, 100 years of storytelling for Warner
03:17 Brothers. That's a nice looking case. But let's open up the second one
03:20 and see what we have. And we have the regular version. Oh and also was there
03:25 something inside the case as well? Now this one I have to be a little bit more
03:28 careful of because he's - oh there's what it was. I got myself a card. Did this
03:32 other one have a card as well? It did have a card. How did I overlook that?
03:36 These both come included with cards. These are Blockbuster Rewind character
03:40 cards. One though is yellow and it was the - which one was which? I think was the
03:47 yellow one in here, the blue one. Anyways, two plastic cards. Both of them
03:51 actually say Blockbuster Rewind character card. And then on the other
03:54 side you've got the name Clark Griswold. Oh okay, so here's the chase. So the chase
03:59 would have been in fact yellow and then on this one would just been the regular
04:02 character. Very nice little way again, nice way of presenting these. That being
04:06 said, let's go ahead and take out the other Clark Griswold. We'll just put the
04:09 case right there for right now. Pop out Clark Griswold. This one I'm being very
04:14 careful of. Of course he's got a little moose eggnog glass. I definitely got to
04:18 get my hands on those those moose glasses. So the difference between the
04:21 two, I mean it doesn't look like there's much really that's changed. Obviously
04:25 this one has the lights, this one has the little moose glass, but it also seems
04:28 like maybe, I don't know, Clark seems a little bit paler in the face on this one
04:32 than on this one right here. Other than that though, I would imagine they are
04:35 using the exact same figure. It seems to be the case. The mold is exactly the same.
04:38 But again, one is the chase, love that, and one is again the regular release. Now
04:43 these again are being sold. I think they're in specialty stores. You
04:47 certainly could order these also in line as well. But the fun thing about
04:50 these is the fact that they're actually kept inside of cases that look like the
04:54 old Blockbuster days. I personally didn't grow up myself going to Blockbuster. I
04:58 was more of a Rogers Video guy just because I had a Rogers Video closer to
05:01 my house. But yeah, these are fun. Big thank you once again to the folks over
