00:02 >> See, a hard fought battle tonight.
00:04 What do you think the team came up short at the end?
00:08 >> Just turnovers and fouling when we shouldn't foul.
00:13 >> How did you feel out there your first game back?
00:16 >> I wasn't gone too long.
00:18 It felt good, it felt good to be out there.
00:21 >> Did you see a difference from the third quarter at all?
00:24 It seemed like a better quarter this game.
00:26 >> I would definitely say it was a better third quarter than some of the third
00:29 quarters we had in the past.
00:31 So that's improvement.
00:33 >> I think you got the line seven times in the first quarter.
00:36 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:46 >> I was trying to press up, quick swipe through, and I was able to drop fouls.
00:50 >> Just big picture offensively, I know you guys are doing some different things
00:55 this season as opposed to last season.
00:57 Where do you think you guys are at,
01:00 where is there still, I guess, progress can be made there?
01:03 >> We have a lot of progress to make, which is good.
01:08 It means we got a lot of room for improvement.
01:11 That means our potential is high.
01:12 But I mean, we're NBA players.
01:17 We gotta be able to figure it out a little bit quicker.
01:19 >> What did you see as far as the turnovers, especially in the fourth quarter?
01:25 >> I know I definitely made a crucial turnover.
01:27 Soon as I let go of the ball, I instantly knew.
01:33 And I think a few other guys might have had some turnovers that we wish we
01:36 could take back.
01:37 >> And in those late game situations where you know you gotta execute, I guess,
01:41 where's the progress as far as you being able to figure out how to work together and
01:46 not be so much your turn, my turn type of thing?
01:49 >> Definitely just our communication.
01:51 It's gotten a lot better on the court.
01:54 Sometimes coach might try to call a play and I look at coach like,
01:59 no, run this play for B.
02:01 Coach might try to call a play for B and B will be like, run this play for Z.
02:05 So we're definitely both unselfish.
02:08 But like I said, we just,
02:11 we gotta be able to do it more fluently and smooth in the new offense.
02:16 >> And kind of connected to that, how much do you feel like kind of CJ's absence was
02:20 felt in this one, just not having another guy in several offense and
02:23 having to kind of lead on Dyson and a few of those young guys a little bit more tonight?
02:28 >> Dyson and those other young guys tonight, they definitely, they stepped up.
02:32 We didn't get the result we wanted, but they definitely stepped up.
02:35 Dyson played 40 minutes, so the Hawks played 41.
02:41 So that was a big time for both of them.
02:43 But CJ's presence was definitely missed though.
02:45 >> What'd you think about Jordan, kind of struggling on the first half and
02:48 then coming out and put that floor in right in third quarter,
02:50 they got you guys back into it.
02:53 >> That's an elite shooter's mindset.
02:54 Like I keep saying, for him to have it that early, him and Trey, man, that's special.
03:01 And with guys like that, they're just gonna continue to get better.
03:05 >> And going off of what you said earlier, just the way you played in that first half,
03:09 do you think this was closer to you kind of feeling like yourself out there,
03:12 especially in the offensive end?
03:13 >> I'm definitely finding a rhythm.
03:19 Like I said, still learning the new offense.
03:23 It's not really what we did last year, so it's definitely an adjustment,
03:26 especially this being my sixth, seventh game back.
03:29 But as time goes on, I think with the coaching staff and
03:35 the players, we'll definitely figure it out.
03:37 >> What are the biggest differences?
03:38 [BLANK_AUDIO]
03:43 >> Definitely how much the ball is in my hands, for sure.
03:45 I think last year I was able to facilitate a lot more.
03:50 This year is kind of like taking a backseat a little bit and
03:55 just kind of letting everybody else get in their rhythm and being unselfish.
04:00 >> And do you wanna talk at all about being away, or
04:03 you'd rather just keep that private still?
04:05 >> Keep that private.
04:06 >> All right, thanks, Chief.
04:08 Appreciate it. >> You guys have a good night.
04:09 >> Thank you.
