00:00 Hello there. Now Thursday will be windy for many, bright for some as rain arrives across more western areas through the afternoon.
00:08 For the time being, Wednesday evening, we still have storm Agnes. So strong winds, gale force winds, some damaging gusts, particularly across the north channel through evening time.
00:17 And then the winds will pick up to gale force across more northeastern areas of Scotland through into the early hours of Thursday morning.
00:23 Windy wherever you are and also some outbreaks of rain and then a quieter spell, perhaps still windy, but some dry weather before this system moves in across Scotland and Northern Ireland on Thursday.
00:33 And this area of low pressure, which is quite small, but it will skirt across England and Wales into the early hours of Friday morning.
00:41 Backtrack to Wednesday evening then look at this, a massive cloud and also gale force winds, high waves associated with it across the north channel as well as Irish Sea coast.
00:50 A massive rain moving ever northwards. Expect surface water issues. There's rain warnings across southwest Scotland, Northern Ireland, central parts of Scotland and that broad yellow warning you saw earlier.
01:00 But everything is moving its way northwards. So despite the fact it's a wet and windy night, you'll see some drier conditions come in across Wales through the evening and overnight.
01:09 Patchy rain across Pennine districts and a little rain associated more clouds across Northern Ireland.
01:15 Heaviest rain central and northern areas of Scotland, the Northern Isles seeing those gales and some intense bursts into Thursday morning.
01:22 Temperatures holding up wherever you are. And in fact, through the first part of Thursday, we'll see some brighter skies.
01:29 The cloud is fairly broken across England and Wales. Pennine district still rather drizzly.
01:33 And also for the western highlands and the southern uplands, you'll see more cloud and some patchy rain and drizzle.
01:39 But some brighter weather to start the day on Thursday for Northern Ireland. Make the most of it. You can see this rain moving in here as the winds pick up some strength.
01:47 So through the morning into the afternoon, the cloud remains broken across many areas. You'll see some sunshine across eastern Scotland, even border regions.
01:55 Some high clouds extending from the south, making the sunshine rather hazy as this wet weather moves in across Northern Ireland and western Scotland through the afternoon.
02:05 The winds will be stronger across northwest Scotland than Wednesday, but certainly some wet weather on its way here.
02:12 Elsewhere, some brighter skies to end the day. Certainly you'll see some sunshine as temperatures rise around 16 to 19 degrees Celsius.
02:19 But notice towards the southwest, this little feature here bringing with it some outbreaks of rain through Thursday evening and overnight, skirting the west country.
02:28 Wales moving up towards Cheshire, Liverpool Bay and then moving towards the Midlands as we head through into mid evening and overnight.
02:36 At the same time, this batch of rain arrives across Glasgow, Belfast, pushes ever northwards and eastwards.
02:42 Showers will follow across western Scotland. Girl Force winds here and even one or two showers clipping the far north of Northern Ireland.
02:49 England and Wales. Well, temperatures will hold up with the breeze.
02:52 We'll say clouds and some showery bursts of rain, but notice it is trying to clear from northern counties of England as well as Wales.
02:59 Temperatures then around 11 to 14 degrees Celsius.
03:02 But these showers here will be a feature of the weather across the north and the west of Scotland on Friday with the risk of thunder.
03:08 At the same time through Friday morning, this cloud and showery rain clears towards the North Sea and then the sun will come out.
03:15 So some brighter weather through Friday and you'll notice the winds will gradually ease across the south.
03:21 Not the case across the north and the west. Still very windy here with gales, but just a strong wind across eastern counties of Scotland,
03:29 which could turn rather gusty and some gustiness also over the Pennines as well.
03:34 But some brighter weather to end the working week as temperatures rise around 19 to 21 degrees Celsius.
03:39 Here's your outlook into the weekend. A ridge of high pressure brings some chilly conditions on Saturday morning.
03:45 Fine for many through the day with some sunshine and then more rain into Saturday night into Sunday when it eventually will clear.
03:53 Stay tuned to all our forecasts and we'll keep you updated. I'll see you later.
