00:00 Now you give advice and tips and the like, of course.
00:02 What would be your advice to,
00:04 considering the way you come up from playing
00:07 to swimsuit with Si, to being an influencer now,
00:12 to those who are trying to make a name for themselves?
00:15 - So I had a very unconventional path
00:17 to everything that I've done in life.
00:20 And I think that's my advice,
00:23 is stick to what is authentic to you.
00:26 And when I was trying to play golf professionally,
00:28 it didn't feel right to me.
00:30 And so I pivoted,
00:31 wanted to stay in an industry that I love so much.
00:34 And when I started social media, no one was doing this.
00:37 There was no Instagram golf girls.
00:39 Like I paved this path for so many,
00:42 and it just came out of place of passion
00:44 for this game that I love so much.
00:46 And also just being authentic and being myself online.
00:49 And so if you want to try to go the professional route,
00:53 know that it's going to be a grind
00:55 and invest wisely with your money,
00:57 because it is very, very expensive.
01:00 And then just keep going after it,
01:02 if that's what you want to do and you love it.
01:05 And then when it goes to social media,
01:07 I would say my advice is just be yourself.
01:08 Like your personality is everything
01:11 when it comes to connecting with so many people.
01:13 And if you're trying to put on a facade,
01:15 people are going to see right through that.
01:17 And so always try to be yourself,
01:19 because I think sometimes we're looking at other people
01:21 who are successful on social media,
01:22 and you're like, if I do it this way,
01:23 or if I do it this way, then I'll have the same success.
01:26 And it's very much the opposite.
01:27 And showing your personality
01:29 is what makes people popular online now.
01:33 - Same thing, go for like brand partnerships, NIL deals.
01:36 You know, obviously that's an emerging thing
01:37 for college athletes.
01:38 - 100%.
01:39 You have to find the right brands
01:41 that understand your own personal brand.
01:43 I think sometimes companies,
01:45 when they work with influencers,
01:46 they want their platform,
01:48 yet they want to control everything
01:50 that they do, say, in post.
01:51 And then it doesn't work because their followers
01:54 can see right through this act.
01:56 And so my advice to companies
01:58 wanting to work with influencers
01:59 is find someone that aligns perfectly with your brand.
02:02 And then it's really fun because you can be creative,
02:04 and you can create all these really exciting new ads,
02:07 and it's not just someone standing in front being like,
02:10 buy this now, I love this.
02:12 You know, it's things that you actually love.
02:15 And that's what I always try to do
02:16 with companies I work with.
02:17 I love all of the products,
02:20 and I would use it,
02:21 and most of them I used before,
02:23 and that was kind of my introduction to it.
02:25 And I always decided that I would never take money
02:27 if it was a product that I didn't fully love
02:30 because my trust with my followers
02:32 is the most important thing,
02:33 and if I lose that, then it's over.
