00:00 Hello there, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here. I'm coming to you
00:07 from Glencrouton Golf Club in Oban, home of course of Ryder Cup player Bob McIntyre. This
00:16 is the place that Bob's helped put on the map during his professional career. He was
00:23 a junior champion, five time junior champion here from 2008 onwards, five years in a row
00:29 he won that. This is where Bob comes home when he's playing on tour and spends some
00:37 quality time. His dad Dougie, he's the greenkeeper here. Dougie's a good player himself. This
00:45 is where Bob really does chill out when he's trying to get away from the pressure of playing
00:52 professional golf at the top level. The club here, it's a little quirky golf course but
01:00 the condition of the golf course is fantastic. You can see in the background there, Dougie
01:06 does a great job looking after this golf course. It's his pride and joy. The members here are
01:13 very proud of what Bob's achieved in his career and of course it's going to be a fantastic
01:18 week for everyone in the clubhouse and behind me. It really is a fantastic facility. It's
01:25 really been improved enormously over the last few years and I believe Bob's played a big
01:30 part in that. There's no doubt that when Bob becomes the first Scot to play in the Ryder
01:38 Cup since Stephen Gallagher in 2014, the television's in the clubhouse, the people there are going
01:46 to be glued to them and rightly so because it's fantastic for a young man from Oban,
01:53 from a small golf club, to make the Ryder Cup. It's a phenomenal achievement and Bob
01:59 McIntyre, as he always has done throughout his career, he's going to be flying the Oban,
02:06 the Glen Cruton, the Scotland flag with pride in the Ryder Cup.
